Do you like Consumer Softproducts? Their early work was a little too arthouse for my tastes, but when Cruelty Squad came out in jan, I think they really came into their own, uncommercially and artistically. The game has a dirty, gloopy sound, and a new film of consummate filth that really gives the levels a big boost. It's been compared to Rainbow 6, but I think CS has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In june, CS released this, out of early access, their most accomplished game. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Apartment Atrocity", a level so abrasive, most people probably pay attention to the story. But they should, because it's not just about the arbitrariness of bureaucracy, and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the police force, it's also a personal statement about the game itself.
