Started playing in Smite's Season 2 League which ran between 2015 - 2016. Currently, I have 3000 hours in Smite 1, which is still the most hours I have in any game. Hi-Rez/Titan Forge Studios have been the butt of many jokes throughout the years. I laughed, I cried, I seethed. And yet I can't help but have some kind of movement within me to say how betrayed and bitter I feel toward the game.

The first thing that sent me was the mastery system within the gods. A mini PAID battle pass for every character, locking simple progression behind a paywall, is a joke. Not to mention the legacy gem system that is supposed to appease my anger toward this company. They so-called reimburse my gem usage by giving me a handful of skins and coupon currency. Expecting me to give them more money to use these legacy gems IS A JOKE. The last thing that triggered me instantly was the lack of better graphics. It's as if the devs imported the models from the past game and glued Unreal assets and particle effects to each character. I refuse to believe a major engine change was needed to get what we have in Smite 2. They only did this so that they had an excuse to package the game up and sell it back to us. No gem reimbursement, no progression reimbursement. NO GOD REIMBURSEMENT. What a scam.

One other thing I need to mention, some of the major community forums for these games are filled with the most toxic sheep I've ever seen, this “Mega Fan” role assigned to them. If any criticism is said about Smite you'll soon be harassed and attacked by these “Mega Fans”. They even have a role in Smite 2 for Mega Fan displayed on your profile. I wouldn't be surprised if some found this review and awarded me with the Jester trophy. I also want to mention that some reviews that have dropped today look very bot-like as if Hi-Rez really wants this game to succeed today, its the only thing left that can save their company.

Don't hop on this sinking ship of a game. Especially one whose devs are still shaking a tin can in your face as the game's barely above water.

( Edit note: I knew these MEGA FANS would find me and yet all they say is to give this company more money, let that sink in. I will never give this company another cent and I hope they fail )
