I met the same "Final Fantasy" fate with XIII. After I beat it, I never played another one in the series again. I'm still puzzled at how it had two games after the first one

It's not that. Although hunger and thirst can be rough initially, you'll start learning the spots for juice droplets and mushrooms (with the latter being quite plentiful). Dew droplets restore thirst and are in many places on the grass. Once you start the main quest, you quickly make a canteen, and then the game gives you a decent amount of cooked food, which pauses the food timer for a while.

Once you get even a tier-one food recipe and make a dew droplet, both become a non-issue.

I didn't make a house until I completed the Hedge Lab (the first major area in the game), and by then, you should have enough stuff to start crafting decently upgraded weapons/armor.

El Paco

Grounded's start is similar to other crafting-type games initially, but once you get into combat past the beginning areas, it opens up significantly. The late game has some heavy influence from MH (challenging bosses / rare bug pieces / upgrading system). Hunger and thirst are only beginning game issues, as molar stats and mutations can reduce their need to a point where they aren't even thought about.

I rarely play deckbuilder roguelikes, tbh

My framerate is fine (outside of the main city), the main problem is the crashing `-`

On another note, I'll buy Lords of the Fallen when it's on sale. The game looks visually beautiful, but even for a souls-like, it's rough around the edges in all the wrong places.
