Positve:
As an arcade racer the game is good. The track builder(in my personal opinion) is really good. maybe innovative. There is a decent variety in cars that each are unique in performance. Environments are very pleasant to race in and invite unique was to build tracks. Graphics are nice and dont interfere with the experience. The physics that the game uses add a lot to how you race and can build tracks.

Neutral:
while the cars have different performance stats and you can upgrade some to bring out their potential, some are just to good. Cars with low top speed and poor acceleration never seem to keep up even with lots of boost and a short turn intensive track. Also there are two versions of some cars, for example: the 1971 El Camino, Rodger Dodger, and Twin Mill, have a treasure hunt version and a common version. I have no idea why you would do this. Unless, its because its a hotwheels game, you have to give all the kids a twin mill and Rodger Dodger for advertisement to sell your "most popular cars". I also appreciate the livery editor even if it is a little laking. Ive always wanted to paint my own HW cars.

Negative:
My biggest issue is that you earn cars through loot boxes called "Blind Boxes". Like. Why?. Why cant we just earn them by unlocks from boss races or challenges like from previous games? or why cant we just earn them by buying them like forza? I just dont understand this decision at all. The physics can some times be a be an annoyance when you get stuck on a heavily cambered or almost vertical turn and are forced to start from the last even part of track. Some cars like the El Camino can simply roll themselves over if the surface has a slight crest or curve. Contact/ Colision in this game is a bit broken as well and not in a good or exploititive way. Sometimes a wall on the track or set piece can grab you and stop you dead.

'Blind Box' criticism:
To elaborate, you earn currency in the game to buy boxes. However, you cant replay campain levels to earn currency, you have to play multiplayer. Which on average gives out 40-70 coins per race. A "Blind Box" costs 500 coins, this will give you any rarity vehicle in the game currently. So you need to do an average of 10 races to get ONE box, that will most likely yield deminishing returns. Why? Because these operate more like chests in fortnite if they only dropped one item. A common car can only sell for 300 coins. which means you need to do 4 more races to get another chance at a roll. It gets annoying after the 10th time and only made me feel terrible. it only feels like the value of my hard work is up for rng to determine and not what its actually worth.

Overall:
Its a good game. Maybe not $60 worth, more like $40, but what do I know about pricing. Once you get 4 cars you enjoy playing, the world is your oyster. Online right now is very fun and the community tracks are a blast. I recommend it if you are looking for something fresh.
