So first off the most important thing  [b] Windows is currently in the process of adding these exact features for free[/b]

Aside from that there are other free alternatives as well so look around before buying this...

Now i would like to take a second to complain about the developer, normally i don't like to get involved and i will also refrain from talking about his past mistakes but he deleted three of my posts in a row and then when i tried to explain why i wrote what i did he deleted that as well so i'm going to explain what happened and you can make your own judgements on the situation.

I was browsing the CPUCORES forum on Steam (I do own the product because it has worked for me and i like how tidy it is) and I noticed that a lot of people didn't know if it was going to work for them and were asking whether they should buy it so i linked them to free alternatives which obviously the developer didn't like me doing which i understand but he didn't have to delete it. Pretending your product is the only one that exists and that there or no alternatives especially free alternatives proves to me one of two things either he doesn't think his product is any better than what is free in other places or he thinks the consumer is too stupid to see how superior his version is.

So what did i do?  I created a discussion aimed at the developer himself basically saying exactly what i'm saying to anybody reading this now and so he deleted that too, now this happened at least a year ago so why am i writing this now? Because of the lovely DLC that can also be found for free so im going to double down...

After this review started getting popular i did question if this review is morally sound and I think it is, because this is a product being sold for money on a marketplace then the rules of capitalism apply so i feel okay with showing that there are different products around.

I can't find any rules that would imply what your saying? I'm aware that developers cannot link sites where you can buy their game for less money or try to bypass steams cut of profits but i admit i could be wrong

You broke the STEAM user agreement and didn't get banned. I'd say deleting your posts was the nice thing to do. It falls under the advertising section that this is considered advertising solicitation. He can sue people for this in reality. I'm glad he left the review finally, but STEAM could still delete it is they noticed. You can talk about other products but you're not allowed to link to sites that even ask for donations. I don't agree with it but those are STEAM's rules and not the Dev. Technically this review may be reported.
