Have you ever played a game, got a high from it and then no other game was able to replicate that high for you again? So for decades you buy out every steam sale, play every new game for like 10 mins until you realise it was all for nothing. That's basically Resident Evil 4 (2005) for me. I never would have guessed that Capcom would have to remake the game to replicate the same high for me, but they did, and they did it well. This game is as good as the original RE4, except it is modernised and re-imagined *just* enough to make it a fresh experience and not a remaster, but a new game, but not a new game. You know what I am trying to say. I was genuinely afraid the horde of haters would find a way to cancel this game too, because they saw a graphical artefact during a certain reload animation, or they couldn't hit anything they shot at because their aim was ♥♥♥♥. Well, I have news for all the ♥♥♥♥ gam.. I mean "play for fun" gamers out there, they actually added aim bo---assist just for you! I am dead serious, this game is fxxking AMAZING. PLEASE PLAY IT. P.S. If you got the "sporty shades" for Leon, don't ever put them on. That ♥♥♥♥ can never be unseen.

The devs have massively improved performance since my original (positive) review. They added AMD FSR, fixed lots of issues like stuttering the game had (I imagine by preloading shaders) and now I can 100% max the game out on 4k resolution even without AMD FSR turned on. However, I put AMD FSR on to "Quality" mode just to keep system temps a bit lower.

Remember guys, support devs of your favorite games (even sub contracted ones) because all the cancel culture and hatred will only ruin the industry. Lots of women and men work hard on games like this. They don't work for free and also need to feed themselves like I keep trying to remind communities. It's easy to say "wah wah I am a crybaby with poopy pants and want free DLC and remasters"... but it isn't easy to remaster a game or make DLC for a game. It takes lots of time, patience, and support.

It's good.

Remember that the graphics have been enhanced, and therefore the graphics settings on the upper end (very high, ultra) require very beefy computers.

That being said;
Keep this in mind, the graphics setting "Visual Effects" and the "Screen Space Global Illumination" settings yield huge performance impacts. Set Visual Effects to "high" and Screen Space Global Illumination to "low" (which still looks GREAT). This alone will massively boost your FPS with MINIMAL visual impacts.

The last thing to do is lower the "3D Resolution" from 100% in increments of 10% until you consistently get 60+FPS or whatever feels good. Just keep in mind, this is at 4k resolution. Upscaling technology by nature doesn't work the best for 1080P monitors/native resolution, but works decently at 1440p and incredibly for 4k

Okay, all that being said just try not to jump onboard with all the modern "cancel culture". It's easy to hate on things as a group. Just try to see things for what they are and enjoy things the way they are meant to be enjoyed. No one is forcing you to buy this upgrade. The original Outer Worlds is not obsolete, it is very good.

I am on a water cooled RTX 3090 and i9 10900k and I didn't expect this to run 60+ fps completely maxed out at 4k. Just remember to use upscaling options (3D rendering in this case) to your advantage.
I do really wish they added DLSS and FSR 2.0, but hey, maybe they still will.
Remember, this is only a $10 upgrade. If 10$ breaks your bank, then you should be more concerned with other things than this DLC.

Great game.

I find it very interesting, the mob mentality of sudden down voters in anticipation of the upcoming DLC.
They are chanting "performance patch, why charge money ($10, less than your avocado toast or Starbucks coffee) for a performance patch" like the drones that they are.

Here, let me spell it out for you. TIME. It takes TIME for the developer's employees to WORK. They don't WORK for free. They WORK for you, and they WORK hard to bring GAMES to you. If $10 is breaking your bank account, then you shouldn't be playing GAMES to begin with.

When you get to the point that $10 is affordable, then you know you're in a position in life to play some games.
Besides, no one is forcing you to buy this "performance patch" (DLC including upgraded graphics and expanded gameplay).

Do yourself and the gaming community a favor and take your cancel culture and screw off somewhere else that doesn't want it.

People complain when devs abandon games... people complain when devs update games every year up to over a decade past their release.

Even with other similar titles like Elden Ring and Dark Souls, Nioh 2 still feels solid and capable.
There is something about the weapon/armor system, level design and overall Samurai aesthetic that is very satisfying.

I get notes of Ghibli and InuYasha.

Love every moment of this game.

I just want to first point out how well this game runs.

It has DLSS, FSR 1, FSR 2.0 and that weird intel upscaling option so that literally anyone can raise graphics settings and run the game with great visuals.

Silent Hill, Resident evil, and some other elements from the golden years of Survival Horror.

Soundtrack 11/10
Gameplay 10/10

Solid multiplayer and decent single player.

Multiplayer has lots of great weapon mods and unlocks. I have never seen this level of customisation in a cod game before. Lots of unlockable skins, including rare/difficult to earn/obtain skins that make it all worth it and make your guns very unique.

All of the Metro series is really immersive.

Metro Exodus evolves the series and gives you more freedom without going stale.

If you like slav-esque games, Metro series is for you.

A lot of food in peoples houses and in the world that makes me hungry irl.

This game isn't just another Elder Scrolls (long live that series though) clone where attack animations all do the same damage whether it's a slash or a stab. This is a more complex undertaking and I think designed to be unforgettable.

All the stews and food in the game make me hungry so I have to take constant breaks to make a samich etc. but other than that it's a greatly immersive game.
