I installed the game at 9:15 PM. Launched it. And then it was 2:15 AM. An absolutely chaotic 5-6 hour ride that will make your lizard brain light up as number go up and rocks go boom.

I wanted to like this game. The artwork is lush, the music is good, and it has a lot of style. Unfortunately, style is all it really has. The mechanical gimmick of the game, switching armors out depending on the situation, is handheld for you so that you're equipping the correct armor for the environment automatically. Combat is extremely basic and enemies offer no meaningful complexity. Without any combat powers from the elemental armors, you're mostly just doing a 1-2-3 combo with the appropriate color on, if applicable. And, while this is a petty gripe, I do wish there was a little more polish and thought into the world when they put so much effort and work into the art style. As an example, having collectibles just be named "Red Note" and "Blue Note" felt lazy in contrast to the game's presentation. I just wish there was more to it.
