You get a lot of value for your money with this game. A definite must-have for any guitar player.

Pros
  • If you have Rocksmith, you don't need an amp (at least not for practicing) but you can still learn a lot about amps.
  • Riff Repeater is an excellent tool for mastering a whole song piece by piece.
  • Guitarcade games are very effective and fun ways to improve your technique.
  • Great collection of concise lessons
  • Session mode is a lot of fun when you want to play around with a new scale shape you learned.
Cons
  • It's easy for beginners to ignore rhythm if learning the guitar with Rocksmith. I think staying in rhythm is more important than hitting the right note, so I would strongly recommend that you play with a metronome once you have learned a whole song.
  • Overpriced DLC's
