Beautifully made game, always fun to play. I play this game almost every day and it never gets old. The skill ceiling is incredibly high and as you improve it seems to get farther and farther away. There are so many mechanics to learn and and master. I would most definitely recommend buying it.

Probably the best F2P first person shooter on steam. Never gets old. #wouldbang

Edit: I have now played this game for 9 years—starting out casually and, over time, getting more and more into competitive. I started playing this game in middle school, and I still continue to play it as a college student. Although I don't have as much time and cannot play as competitively as I did in high school, I still come back to the game. Even though I don't have the time to spend with a team scrimming and reviewing maps/demos in hopes of climbing through the RGL's 6s divs, I still come back to this game. It really is beautiful. When you first start playing, it's easy to pick up and appears to be simple. Yet, the more you play, little nuances of game mechanics and class roles and interactions perpetually reveal themselves, exponentially increasing in complexity as you get better and better, ultimately proving the game to have a near-infinite skill ceiling. I love this game for everything it is. I love its characters, their origins, their interactions, all of their unique mechanics, and the friends, leadership, and social skills I picked up along my journey. This game really literally changed my life. I love it for the beauty it is and for the beauty it has given me. Thanks, Team Fortress 2. For me, it was genuinely worth the wait.
