Even better than the first installment of the series. One of the top rated PC games of Metacritic and for a reason. Bigger and more polished version of the series first installment. Some of the same, familiar epic characters and even more interesting sidequests and legendary boss fights. This is PC gaming at its best for me.

This is one of the absolute classics of the genre. Highly recommend. Legendary characters, entertaining dialogue and a pretty interesting storyline. Great sidequests as well. Just an absolute must for anyone even slightly interested in isometric RPGs.

Game feels very half-baked and rushed. Campaign lacks depth and is quite frankly boring (this coming from someone who has played pretty much every relic title so far and liked them).

Good example is that they patched a concede button into the multiplayer after launch despite getting feedback from it months in advance via the closed and open beta. Before that you could only leave games that were clearly lost but would drag on for 10-20minutes due to the moba style victory condition. If you left the game, you didn't get xp or skulls that are used to unlock doctrines and elite units for mp... Also wtf!? Why do you have to grind the game in order to unlock elite units and doctrines for multiplayer? I would understand grinding out cosmetic changes but not stuff that actually affects gameplay.

The game does have potential with some real reworks in the multiplayer section but single player is just not very good and the game does not feel like a 60 euro game due to half-assed and rushed feel of an unfinished and unpolished product.

Play the closed and the open beta + the actual game.
