This game was recommended to me as I'm a huge fan of Returnal, Gunfire Reborn, and Roboquest.

I am now 50 hours into Deadzone and just LOVING it. I play almost exclusively in Co-op, but Solo has been a blast too. The game balance is great. The enemies are varied. The builds are unique and fun on almost every run. You can synergize with co-op friends to maximize damage.

The tone of the game is excellent. It looks like a dark sci-fi shooter but it definitely has a sense of humor and doesn't take itself too seriously.

After a few hours of play, I felt compelled to look into the developers - this isn't your typical game, there's clearly some pedigree here. I was amazed to see that these same guys made Tribes, one of my all time favorite franchises (they split out from Hi-Rez, otherwise, I'd have known the name).

Deadzone: Rogue is a no-brainer of a buy if you enjoy roguelite shoot & loot...and who doesn't?!

If you love Returnal (and you should!), you'll love RoboQuest too. It's not quite the 10/10 masterpiece that Returnal is, but it's still fantastic and different enough to fully enjoy. RoboQuest has more variety of weapons and power-ups too, so each run is more distinctive.

Super fun and rewarding game. Pretty simple coding exercises. The amount of challenge is really up to the player. This is a casual game with huge swaths of time where your code is doing the work for you (like, overnight). It's been running, continuously, on my PC for like 35 days straight now!

Crazy, brutal, creative, and fun. Plays a bit like Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup on LSD.

A fast-paced (yet turn-based!), great looking, smooth playing, kickass traditional Roguelike.

Unbelievably fun, maybe the best game of the year. Note, however, it will be very frustrating unless you have at least basic guitar skills.
