cons:
- encourages you to play on artsy mode while also increasing your difficulty. don't do this for your first playthrough. this game is artsy, poppy, and low-fidelity. there are transitions mid-song that make it humanly impossible to hit notes without knowing the chart first. do yourself a favor and just pick one struggle in the beginning. this game is 90% chart knowledge and 10% rhythm, you aren't going to feel like successes in the story mode were from skill anyway (there is no restart button, you cannot practice)

- drags you along until you realize that there is never enough time in a day, in a week, in a month, in a year, in a lifetime, but time is the most important resource we have to connect with ourselves and our friends and our world and our loves but even still it will never feel like enough at the same time it will always feel like the perfect amount. if we must forge on with these bonds held in only our hearts it will feel like we are alone, like we have been left behind, like time has slipped through the cracks in our fingers and maybe we will regret but we must live all the same. the actions we choose may be small, tiny, just a word or just a door held open shared between one and another but they will be sprawling, spreading, and they will mean something because we are the masters of our stories just as much as we are slaves to them, and even if we must drag our feet there will always be an ending waiting for us, the setting sun dappling on the figures of those who stood beside us once upon a time. they mattered, just as we did. and in the end, we will leave, and nothing of us will be left behind. and that will be okay, because we will always have another new hope to look forward to.

God...wasn't it beautiful? Didn't it show you what it all was for? Didn't you find worth in it? What does that make you? What does that make any of us? Where do we go from here? How do we move on? Should we? Should we try to find a way to "move on" from this? Or should we accept that it happened? Should we take it and move forward with it by our side? What did you find hidden within the walls of this machine? And didn't you learn something, in the end? Didn't I?

- you must click and click and click and see and be told and witness how it's a long, unseeable, infinite road from where we are to where we want to be and there are a thousand, million, billion things in front of us that we know will stop us, hold us, slow us down but life moves on whether we want it to or not, clocks ticking tick tock tick tock always forever on and on and on but we can't stop it, can't slow it, can't spend all our precious time wondering, worrying, weathering everything thrown, hurled, aimed at us and so we must pick and choose the battles we find within ourselves the determination to fight for what we want, need, wish so heavily for and sometimes there is so much worth in putting your biases down, clearing your mind, taking a step or two and thinking through what it is that is worth your care, attention, focus, effort, consideration, life and even if it takes such a simple game with such a simple message portrayed in such a simple way in such a short time there must inherently be worth in that

- ensares you in an endless web of choice and possibility, holding you stiff and taut as you watch on in equal parts horror and morbid curiosity as things slowly fall apart, as goals become impossible to reach, as endings shine bright in only your mind's eye before disappearing into the abyss of "it never happened" and the timeline repeats and repeats and repeats over and over and over but still she stands there, bleeding from the stump that was her arm, shrouded in the darkness and panting for breath, hoping, praying, and willing you to finally get to her this time
