This game is an extreme and substantial downgrade from the console version, missing features, bugging out in weird ways, and being generally worse in all regards. Escape mode is practically unplayable, having really weird bugs and just breaking in ways I didn't expect. I played for half an hour and broke the game several times just in the course of normal gameplay.

Seriously guys, if you own a console, just buy it there.

Mostly a good game, except for a few bugs.

Sometimes when sims aren't able to do something, they'll keep spamming attempts into the queue, which are deleted before they become visible, and crash the game. This has happened to me three times already.

Literally unplayable. Get an error message on launch that says the game requires 4 cores. Does not state that in the system minimum reqs.

Had to leave the error message on screen for like ten minutes so that Steam would let me leave a review.

Thanks to Catbert's guide, great game. Although it is really hard to figure out without help. Would not recommend if you get frustrated easily, otherwise it's actually quite fun.

Honestly though, read up on a guide of some kind, you will not figure a lot of this stuff out on your own if you don't have experience with these kinds of games.

Vanilla alone can entertain for hundreds of hours, even without DLCs. The DLCs are amazing, every one of them, except Lithoids, I hate lithoids. The game also has a huge and active modding community with piles upon piles of mods to pick from.

As well, with or without mods, the amount of player customization in this game is insane, from your species appearance, to their genetic traits, all the way up to the driving beliefs of your civilization. From Psionics to Guided Evolution to becoming a civilization of Synths, or even starting out as a machine nexus, there is so much to do.

For those of you who enjoyed Rimworld, perhaps a bit too much, there's also a whole slew of less-than-ethical things to do. Species wide slavery, planet cracking, literally eating xenos, galaxy wide genocide, even stealing free will away from your xeno slaves. The only thing missing is harvesting their organs to sell on the black market.

If you like you like space games and 4x RTS games, you will absolutely love Stellaris and its DLCs. Highly recommended, 10/10. Also Highly recommended: Utopia, Leviathans, Distant Stars, Apocalypes, and Synthetic Dawn. The five DLCs that I cannot go back to playing without.

P.S. Don't mind my 441 hours, I've clocked at least 2000 on Xbox and another 800 on my old Steam account before I lost my credentials.

Okay, I'm not very far into the game, but like, wth is wrong with the lore here? Why doesn't Matt recognize No legs? It can't be a prequel game if Anna's in it, because they'd never met Anna until EBF4, and why is he so seemingly naive? Bro, you've killed an ancient demon of destruction and slain literal god, why are you so concerned about a rock? Not gonna lie, this is the first one of your games I've played that I've only kinda liked instead of super loved, and I've played EBFs 1-4, Adventure Story, and both Bullet Heavens.

I really hope this game improves later, or I'm gonna be heartbroken...

Wow. Amazing game. The combat system is intuitive and easy to master, the quest system is great, the world is so open it's almost too open, and don't even get me started on the graphics.

I know I only have 22 hours in this game, but that's over just the last few days. This game is so amazing, I love it so much. It feels like Prison Architect meets Surviving Mars, and plays that way if you're so inclined. Highly recommended for anyone who's looking for a cool survival game with a unique feel to it. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Outside the game itself, there's a plethora of awesome community content and great mods. I really enjoy how easily integrated the workshop is with the game, and appreciate how active its community is.
