Ori and the Blind Forest is the definition of beautiful game design. The scenery is gorgeous. The music is perfect. The story is well-rounded and evocative.
The difficulty curve is usually pretty reasonable, until a few specific points that I found to be rage-enducing to navigate. However, as a person who tends to be fairly bad at platformers, I figured that was more my failing than the game's. As a gamer I am obsessive about finding all the little hidden collectibles and power-ups. The game rewarded me for finding the extras. It is worth noting that it is difficult to predict whether some collectibles are unreachable without future power-ups or just due to not doing something right, so I occasionally drove myself nuts trying to jump someplace I physically could not yet reach.
Overall I loved it. Get this game if you like platformers and beautifully composed game experiences.
