Early Access Review
My Review
!!DISCLAIMER !!
This review will contain spoilers for the game and was written during early access, meaning things are bound to change in the future.

3 hours into the game, and I've got to say that this is one of the best hentai games I've ever played. The quality is just unmatched.

Story
You, the protagonist, are a university student, presumably living in the city. One day, you clean out an old family shed with your mom and find a scroll. Apparently, it is a treasure map that has been handed down for generations and leads to some treasure by an Inari deity. Yet no one has been able to decipher it. So after 10 years, you decide to go back to your hometown of Tobata during your vacation to try and find this treasure. There, you come back to meet up with your childhood friends Mio, Asami, and her mother, Takane. You get offered to stay with Asami and Takane and get to stay in an empty room next to Asamis. After all of this, the game starts, and you begin your quest to get closer to the heroines and find the treasure.

The story is nothing to write home about. It's not bad, but it's also not super interesting, just enough to keep me playing. It's just a typical, run-of-the-mill storyline that doesn't really stand out. For me personally, it's neither a pro nor a con. It's just there to guide you through the game and provide a reason for you to explore and find the treasure.

Artstyle
The artwork in this game is simply stunning, easily among the best I've ever seen, particularly in its detailed and realistic portrayal of female bodies. The artists have achieved a remarkable level of detail in depicting breasts and vaginas, making them appear incredibly lifelike. However, the representation of male anatomy doesn’t quite reach the same standard; the renderings of penises are somewhat acceptable but lack the clarity and precision seen in their female counterparts, and the bodies are just alright. Keep in mind that the only naked guy you see in the game is the protagonist, so this is directed at his artwork.

Animations flow seamlessly, enhancing the realism and drawing you into the game's world. Every scene and character is crafted with precision, making the game visually delightful and a true standout. It's very evident that a lot of effort was poured into the art style.

Gameplay
Honestly, the game is a tiny bit grindy and repetitive, which I don't necessarily consider a bad thing. The thing that suffers the most from this is getting money. When it comes to money, you can either work at the hotel or increase your fishing skills to sell the fish you catch. From my experience, the former is way easier and more rewarding. Although it gets a bit repetitive since the minigames you have to complete are always the same, the only thing that is random is which minigames you need to solve. Increasing favorability takes quite a while, even when replaying the game and knowing how to more efficiently get favorability. However, the developers, HimitsuCP, have already announced that they will change this to make it less monotonous, so I'm very excited for that.

Translation
The translation is rudimentary and often subpar, requiring significant enhancement. It fulfills its purpose, and as a non-native reader, it doesn't detract from my experience, even during sex scenes. Engaging professional native speakers for the translation and subsequent proofreading could be pivotal in enhancing the quality. Improving the translation quality would greatly enhance the overall experience and immersion and make it more appealing. This investment in professional translation services could lead to increased player satisfaction and positive reviews. So be warned; for some, this is a major turn-off and can break the experience completely. Personally, I thought it was alright.

Suggestions
While the game is honestly great, there are a few suggestions that I think the game could benefit from. I'm aware that the game is still in early access and not finished yet, but that's exactly why I have hope that maybe some of these suggestions can be considered and maybe even implemented before the final release.

Fetish system
This is probably the biggest one and the one that struck me as surprising because it wasn't already in the game. The reason for that is because some of the heroines already hint at being into something specific. For example, Mio states multiple times that she's into blowjobs and sucking the protagonist's ♥♥♥♥, while Takane is really into doggystyle. Maybe this can be expanded upon by allowing players to unlock specific fetish paths for each heroine, leading to unique scenes and dialogue options that cater to those preferences. This could add a new layer of depth and replay value to the game, making each playthrough feel more personalized and rewarding for players who enjoy exploring different kinks and fantasies. Players could feel more connected to the characters and their story arcs as they uncover new sides to each heroine. These can go from pretty harmless to extremely kinky. Here's an example for each heroine:

Takane
Very early in the beginning of the game, the protagonist has a wet dream of Takane giving them a titjob. They wake up and realize they have an orgasm in their underwear. Maybe this can be expanded upon where Takane, who seemingly does the washing in the house, finds that pair of underwear while trying to put a wash on. She then becomes filled with a sense of curiosity and arousal, sparking a new wave of desire within her, which could turn into a used underwear fetish. Or maybe a voyeurism fetish, since she already watched the protagonist masturbate and ♥♥♥ over her while she was pretending to be sleeping.

Asami
Asami was said to have been a little prankster when she was young. Even now, as an adult, she is still known for her mischievous and playful nature. In one scene, while she was searching for something in the protagonist's room, she noticed that he kept looking at her butt and decided to tease him by offering to show him her panties. Surprisingly, he boldly accepts, and after she does, she feels a rush of excitement and attraction towards him. This unexpected turn of events ignites a new level of intimacy between them, leaving Asami feeling both exhilarated and intrigued by the possibilities ahead. This could turn into an exhibitionism fetish for Asami.

Mio
Mio, very early in the game, fantasizes about having 69 with the protagonist after seeing it in a sex magazine she discovers under his bed. The focus is that she wants to suck his ♥♥♥♥. She appears to be more innocent on the outside, but she has a very sexual and desperate side that she keeps hidden, which she openly shows in her diary. Maybe this could be a masochism fetish or mouth fetish for Mio.

Other suggestions
These are just some random thoughts I had while playing the game that I thought would make nice additions:

- Unlockable outfits for each heroine (The schoolgirl outfit for Mio for example)
- Unlockable hairstyles for each heroine
- Adjustable pubic hair for each heroine
- More options for Free H Mode (Including specifically tailored ones for each heroine, like the ones mentioned in the fetish system)
- Make Mio appear at the hotel on shift and be interactable
- More items to buy from the sketchy guy at the light tower

And I'm sure there's more I could come up with but I'll leave it at this for now.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Conclusion
The game is amazing, and I can only recommend this game. I can't wait to see what updates and improvements the developers will make in the future. It's clear that a lot of thought and effort went into creating this game, and I look forward to experiencing more of it.

Early Access Review
Alright so this Review will based off of the experience I had and am having while playing the game. It will include things that may or may not be the game'/developers fault. I think 200 hours is fair to be able to say what I thought is nice and what isn't.
I'll list them here.

Pros:
- Variety:
Maps are ripped from your favorite games and can be downloaded through the Workshop. This makes the game stay fresh and not become stale very quickly.
- Custom Gamemodes:
This is literally what I live for. TTT is the most fun gamemode there is in my opinion and never gets boring, especially with friends. Playing Custom Gamemodes is what I recommend you do if you get Pavlov VR.
- New WW2 Update
Hallelujah! Best timing to bring out the update. I'm not all about the WW2 since I'm not really that interested in it but I'm sure you'll like it if you like Battlefield.
The Datacenter rework is a nice touch which I didn't expect, The User Interface has been improved, but not finished, but looks nice in any case. Although I already came across a bug which ended up with me not being able to use the menu at all but I don't know what I did to cause it. Fixing the infinite "Finding game Server" loading screen is nice and what I appreciate the most was the Friends Tab. Hotfixing the game regularly is also something which would be nice to quickly get weird bugs, glitches and community wishes into the game.

Neutral:
- Big Learning Curve:
So if you have never shot a gun in real life or just have no clue how you would handle one, you're gonna suffer for the first couple of hours you play. And if you say this isn't true, you WILL come across people with tenths of hours and still don't quite know how to reload a shotgun, doesn't matter which one. So new players who have just started with pavlov, or shooters in general, have it especially hard finding out how to reload guns and ultimately shoot the opponent which gets very frustrating for people who already know the basics of how to play, and most people are not friendly and/or helpful enough, to help out the new. Especially Leauge Players.
- Playstyles and Balancing
If you thought that Pavlov would be a tactical shooter where pushing ultimately punishes you, you thought wrong. Call this game "Rushing Simulator" because that's literally what you have to do in most cases to win. Add the fact that pretty much the only viable guns in this game are the AUG, AK47 and M4 and you have people just running through the map, preaiming and shooting everything after they run around a corner. "No stop blyat, never stop." It is a strategy that is actually encouraged by VRML players, especially apparently on Datacenter.

Cons:
- Lazy and Toxic Developers
Alright this is specifically tailored to Dave who called us brats but I can imagine all developers that work on this game are like this. Developers are responsible for they game they put out. You refuse to listen to Feedback and instead take it as provocative. This review was to show people what they're gonna get into when they buy the game. But instead of doing things professionally, you ♥♥♥♥ on the people who tell you how things actually are. Get a grip on reality. Ever heard of the saying "Customer is king"? You can't do something like that, no matter what. And you put yourself in a really bad spot because of it. I don't know if Junt is the same person as Dave, even just putting your OWN GAME ON DISPLAY, saying how great of a game it is, is ridiculous. After it got called out it was deleted. What's wrong Junt? Did you realise that it was a bad idea to do that? The sooner people realise how bad of a Company Vankrupt Games is, the sooner a lot of people are going to quit playing the game. And they should stop playing the game and find a different VR Shooter.
- New WW2 Update
Now this is here again because the new Update has a lot of flaws. To me, it feels unfinished and rushed. Basic features like lobby settings shouldn't be "known bugs for hotfixing" but fundamental features that should already be available and working. Not even being able to throw in simple arrows in the Map Selection Screen to flip pages is unbelievable. I don't know why it had to be a yellow square. Avatars are also not being shown yet which I also question myself as to why it is that way? Santorini is in my opinion too big, complex and easy to get lost in. Push To Talk binds don't work anymore, Most TTT maps don't work anymore and pretty much all WW2 weapons (with some exceptions) have practically no recoil at all. Sound effects also sound a little muffled for some reason. If there's something I'm currently forgetting then I will add it here.
- Toxic Community
Now let's get this straight, not everybody is toxic. There are some exceptions here and there but most are just toxic in every way possible. If you are any good at this game, people will call you out for being a cheater left and right. They will complain about every death and everything that is going on. And don't even get me started on how bad this is in TTT. People even just blatantly lie and try to justify themselves when they literally just made a bad mistake, like run out in the open with a phone in their hand (An Item only Traitors can buy in the Shop). The toxicity goes from complaining, to lying, to literally kicking you for no reason at all other than them being mad and not being able to think straight.
- Communication
Don't even try to call out where people are, or anything really. Nobody, and I mean, NOBODY, will listen to you. Your callouts literally will help no one most likely because nobody cares or just isn't focused on Voice Chat. This will make playing this somewhat coordinated extremely frustrating. Again, this is even worse in TTT.
- Pavlov League Players
If you don't know; "The Pavlov VR Master League is a community driven platform powered by players. VRML aims to bring avid VR gamers together and provide a unique competitive experience. New or experienced gamers play tailored weekly matches to hone their skills and rack up points on the leader board." So basically these are people who play Pavlov "professionally". These people have no place in regular S&D because they literally just ♥♥♥♥ everyone over. New or Experienced. And worst of all, most of them aren't even friendly. And the developers are also League Players. Which in my mind just tells me that all the time they could've spent on the game, is spent playing their broken game and not actually working on it. Doesn't really matter if it's active or not. We can't remember which one but a friend of mine did come across a Developer ingame who badmouthed other people. I personally haven't met them and if I do, I would hope for the developers to be nice and kind to the community. Because hearing a developer talk crap to other people ingame just paints a bad picture about them in my mind. But overall almost all VRML players are salty, toxic, try to force others to play a certain way, and no one can compete on their level because they're so much better than every other average joe. It is something that is guaranteed to happen to everyone who starts playing the game and I will stand by this until VRML Players don't get mixed with the rest of community who play casually.

So do I recommend the game overall? No at all. Developers know nothing of professionalism, are toxic and lazy with developing because they're too busy playing their own game, aren't treating the game right and don't listen to the community.
Do I recommend the game for custom gamemodes like TTT? Nope. Find a different game to play.

If you do get the game, which I seriously advise against, just make sure to check out Zombies or TTT because that's where all the fun is. Even with all the toxicity and problems there are, custom gamemodes can be a lot of fun.
