The true spiritual successor to Galaxy on Fire 2. (I think at least some of the dev team is the same)
It's got beautiful ships, amazing environments, fast and smooth combat and a servicable story.
I'm currently replaying the story since it got updated significantly, and the writing got better!
Most characters have reasonable motivations, there are some actual funny unexpected jokes to find, no annoying ♥♥♥♥♥ you'd wish to be removed, it's great.
If you like spaceship-shooters and are not opposed to a few RPG elements, this is perfect.
There are even puzzles and hidden secrets to pick apart.
Be warned, this is one those games where you might accidentally hear the birds chirping again after "just playing an hour or two".

In short:
A story-rich third person shooter with fun, fluid movement and the occasional puzzle.
It's got a great aesthetic, runs smoothly, has an intriguing story and way of telling side-narratives. Throughout the game you'll find lots of reports and bits on various items and occurences, I strongly recommend reading and watching them.
Look around, pay attention to alternate paths, but don't obsess over impossible puzzles. You'll come back smarter.
Kinda like Half-Life, but way richer, stranger, and more unique.
Nearly everything has physics and can be used as a weapon, some puzzles use them too. They fit the environments and are very intuitive.

There is only one bug for me, the game minimizes when pressing caps-lock.
This is fixed by stopping "csr Bluetooth Service" in Task Manager.

Worth it, even at full price.

In long:
As of writing, I'm done with the campaign, where I took my time to read and explore most places and several of the side-quests. Some bosses were rather tough, but if you get up and tidy your room after failing, it feels amazing when you finally beat one.
Side-quests are mostly unique and interesting, they unveil more of the history and events in the Bureau and beyond.
The atmosphere is lovingly made and got me slightly spooked at times, but it was always very pleasant.
Lots of impressive setpieces. There are no jumpscares. The environments are beautiful and can always be used in your favor, just watch your feet.
If you like the SCP Project or anything in the way of people trying to understand the paranatural in a reasonable fashion, this game is for you. Everyone acts like they have a brain, there are no dumb horror tropes.

Gameplay is great, fights are challenging but fair. I died several times, but it rarely felt undeserved.
The weapons represent strongly defined archetypes. They look alien yet familiar, feel great and can be modified in meaningful ways. Every ability has its place and purpose, there are some unique ways to combine them too.

The lead character is a strong woman, but everything is written in a very believable way,
with no silly SJW-pandering. Her attitude is actually comforting in a few of the stranger, weirder places.
You can tell the developers love this game beyond their paychecks and had creative freedom.

The Foundation DLC is very interesting so far, I only touched it a little.

It's one of those "just one more round" games. Took me about five hours to beat on normal, including the demo.
Basic knowledge of chess is expected, but not much more. The aspect of choosing both an advantage for yourself and the enemy is very interesting and works well.
6 bucks is an appropriate price for a nice little timefiller.

It's a bit odd to get into, I recommend buying a 50c hat or whatever for the inventory space (if that even still applies), weapons will be dropped occasionally. There are websites where you can trade your duplicates for other guns, don't get any of the sets from the shop. (a bot will offer you a steam trade, simple guns are worth less than a cent) Check Youtube for videos and configs to make the game playable. It's fun with friends, you can do everything from messing around while chatting to actually sweating while you're in a tournament. It's Source, it does weird things at times, but the base is very fun. 90% of matches are fun, and queue times for popular modes are below a minute. It's like CS's weird uncle who'd give you weed if you asked nicely and maybe cleaned his car. These days the game is maintained by maybe three people, but the existing content is well-loved and more than you'll likely ever need. Overwatch is certainly easier to pick up, but TF2 has a unique charme, more customization and with some subclasses a very high skill-ceiling.

It's old, but good times can still be had.

Sweet DnB music, lots of fun ways to blow enemies into pretty colors, many weird synergies between upgrades.
Read carefully, some interactions can instantly break your run.
You better set an alarm to stop playing.

As far as we could tell the game has 2 levels. Honestly it feels like a cheap version of dead by daylight, with an AI monster. The animations are 4/10, jumpscares are not horror.
Fun to play while drunk, had a good evening with my mates, replay value is minimal.
Had some good laughs over the janky bits, but there a much better co-op games.

Fire. In. Salvos.

If enemies did that, you'd be dead in sector one every time. No shame in starting on easy. This game has a steep, but short learning curve. The soundtrack has me humming along regularly.
You can get along with a touchpad if you pause a lot, but if you wanna be real cool learn the hotkeys for your systems. Makes it much more fluid and demanding at every difficulty.

It's a great roguelite with decent balancing. RNG is what it is, and without it this game would be short and boring.

The first game where depth of field adds to the experience. Played it with my little sister, and let her figure out some parts. Great fun. Puzzles with unique mechanics, a lot of mobility options (once unlocked) and lots of secrets and easter eggs. If you like the demo, the game is better.
