Game is fun, both legends mode and Singleplayer, but until FSR3 Frame Generation stops crashing the game the review stays negative. I've seen modders do a better job implementing that.

Early Access Review
Game about invading a country as the military force of the people who helped fund your enemy while pretending you're the goodie. And the game isn't even fun.

I have never played a game that felt worse to play than this. If there is such a thing as hell, someone will make me play this game down there. This is the most slow and sluggish experience of my life and I'd rather be bored to death than play this.

There is a mod to skip cutscenes, skips it for all but one missions. PLEASE do yourself a favour and download it.

Gameplay wise the game is extremely solid, with the clutch claw being a bit annoying but you can mostly ignore the mechanics, though they are very advantageous to learn.

Noone cares about the story.

The graphics are nice and the camera doesnt pull a Dark Souls, meaning the camera doesnt zoom into your character while you're backed into a wall midfight.

The grinding is kinda... a lot. I'm over 400 hours in and I definitely dont have everything I want nor did I do everything I want.

Kinda boring teen-drama with weeks of off screen character development, surface level relationships and predictable twists. Somehow it actually managed to be almost as bad as Life is Strange 1, but I doubt any game could top how crap Life is Strange 1's endings were.

The love interests served as side-kicks, almost never really doing... anything. And not only that, they seem to continue the recent trend in modern wannabe choice-games of having precisely one male and precisely one female love interest. We've seen this in all mainline Life is Strange games and we've seen that in Telltales The Walking Dead, some may have seen this in more games, I haven't played more of those though. But with how shallowly this is done, it feels like this company in particular is trying to put the options of relationships forward as a selling point rather than a tool to actually develop tensions between the characters. And I daresay they got worse over time. Whereas in Life is Strange 1 you at least got to know Chloe (with the other guy just kinda... being there), here you don't really get to know either of the two love interests. That is actually being done in a multiple week long time skip for you.
I think the reason dating sims and some other visual novels do a better job portraying romance, is the fact that the romance dynamically changes the main plot in the process of getting through the story in the first place, not at core moments that give you an illusion of choice.
Therefore, I think it is important to look at how viable it actually is to make a choice based game that is fully voiced, fully modelled and fully animated, over your standard visual novel. Because this one right here has been very linear, basic and short all at the same time.

I do really like the city of Haven though, generally walk-able area, feels cosy.

The power is underutilised and at one point the main character just wills a new power into existence, it was something like "Hey, what if I could do that. Oh ♥♥♥♥, I can do that." It was laughable.

The game had 2 actually interesting moral dilemmas in the game, one in the middle and one later. The first one actually starts right when you get the power mentioned above.

Problem is, like in Life is Strange 1, choices don't seem to matter that much. The main plot is still gonna be resolved with little effort and all that looks like it changes is the ending of the stories B-Plot. As much as people ♥♥♥♥ on Life is Strange 2, at least it gave different solutions to the main story unlike LiS and, seemingly, LiS TC.

Especially at a price point of 60 euros/dollars, I recommend you bulk buy some visual novels instead, if you are into choice type games. If you like this type of animated choice based game though, I haven't played them but one of Telltales' Batman games supposedly even has two entirely different last acts to its stories, so that one might be a better recommendation than this thing that tries to carry itself with semi-pretty visuals and indie-music.

One of the best third-person shooters with super divers options to play the game.

The story is unfinished because Konami is a terrible company that fired a great man with a great vision.

Graphically the game holds up well and it runs good too (I mean, it managed 60fps on the PS4 and it didn't even sound like a damn jet engine).

The game has some great socialist and anti-war themes, as to be expected from Comrade Kojima.

Can definitely recommend.
