I've played this game, so much and to be honest I still really enjoy it. The Temtem are adorable (except for Bigu and Babawa), the writing is great mostly. There is humor in the game which you don't see too much from games like Pokemon. People say it's a Pokemon clone, but honestly, that's generally because it's inspired by Pokemon and that's not a bad thing!

The Story, is enjoyable. You have a secret organization looking to take over the Archipelago. You have a Rival you'll have a love/hate relationship with. Choices, which while they don't impact the story can take on fun turns, like the twin duo you'll meet early into the 1st Island.

Battlepass (Known as a Tamerpass), yes this game is getting one, however what people don't specify in their reviews is there is a free version of the Tamerpass. Temtem is not a pay 2 win game. Every item according to Crema is purely cosmetic. Almost everything you can do in Temtem can let you level up. Another thing to note, is that according to information given by Crema at this time, "completing the Premium track will grant you enough Novas to purchase the next season’s pass without any additional cost" So while you might need to buy the premium Tamerpass once, you might not need to buy it again.

Honestly, this game is a ton of fun, hunting for Luma Temtem, entering Saipark during Luma Week, Fishing (mostly) for that 5/5 fish, entering 5 person lairs to battle a legendary Temtem. There's alot that can be done and more coming in September when 1.0 releases and Temtem comes out of Early Access. It's been a heck of a ride over the past 2 and a half years and I know it's gonna continue to be one!
