I have recently embarked on a trip through Bullet Hell type games - at first they were off my list to try; however, I've come around and have started to really enjoy em. Disfigure has a lot going for it. I specifically like the power band and difficulty. You feel powerful almost the whole time while simultaneously struggling to keep pushing through.

Give it a try and see what you think.

In a landscape of Action RPG if you haven't played this one - get it.

This game has been tried and tested over time. Grim Dawn came out in 2016 and is still being watched over and cared for.

The combat, music, graphics and story are all wonderfully done and the team continues to polish and add to its world.

If you're like me and have been searching for a new game to play - happy to say, you found it. Enjoy!

The demo was okay. The art style is fine, but it doesn't account for the blurriness. If that's been fixed, great.

I added it to my wishlist to better keep track of its progress as its still in Early Access - speaking of that, I have no intention of EVER buying a game in Early Access. More often than not they never get finished. If this game is still fun after they release it, I'll pick it up.

Rogue, Deck building, Turn-Based, Strategy game. A lot of fun. Good replay-ability from using different deck builds - fire, bleed, focus, block, combo, etc, along with 3 difficulties which can also be overlaid with Hardcore mode - saving only after defeating the boss.

I've written and rewritten this review several times now. Each time I go over it I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to play this game. That said, let me tell you about it, just the facts, so you can know what you're getting into and decide if its for you.

First off, I really wanted to like this game, and here's why:
1) FREE season updates - Awesome
2) 10man Co-op - Great for game night with friends
3) ARPG - Yes please
4) Survival - Not necessary for me but not bad to have
5) Tower Defense - Excellent
On top of that there is a deep crafting system along with unique skill choices for your character. Combining all of those things makes this game on paper a 10!

You start a lowly person with nothing so off you go to explore and gather materials. You grab some twigs and berries and return to your base to make some tools. With these tools you head back out to gather higher quality materials. After stuffing your inventory full you head back to base and craft a set of armor, some potions, and weapons. You're now ready to explore all that Midgard has to offer.

As night falls you're prompted to return to base and protect it from creatures that are spawning outside the three gates. If they get to the tree in the center and destroy it, your time in Midgard is over.

As the days pass you'll get notices about events happening in Midgard that you're free to do or ignore. There is also a questing post that will reward you for carrying out their requests.

At some point you or a fellow hero will spot a giant. This is when you'll gather your group and work to kill it before it gets to your base.

Eventually the game will end, either you defeat all four bosses or your tree is destroyed. After your run you'll receive some rewards based on your deeds. These unlock skins, additional classes, and new craftable items for your future runs. Sounds great right? I thought so, and those really are the facts. So, why don't I recommend it?

For me the systems, keybinds (or lack thereof), and menus were clunky. The game was designed, it seems, first for console. So, if you have a controller, perhaps those things won't bother you. In the end, for me, it wasn't fun. The first two hours playing I had zero fun. I forced myself to play another 5 hours because, like I said, on paper this game is a 10, but, it just isn't fun. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of constructive feedback for the devs. The game is beautiful, music and sound effects are great, but ya, its just not fun.

I'm gonna give it a few more hours and maybe even take a break and then come back to it. I really hope when I do I'll be able to change my recommendation to a "Yes" but for now, its "No".

Create your own characters, enemies, abilities, equipment and dungeons. In addition, you can grab others work that has been uploaded.

Creative minds will have endless hours of fun and those looking for another adventure only need to press download.

The art style, animation, and game play is great. You can adventure with up to 5 party members but I think the sweet spot is 3.

Early Access Review
Amazing. If you have this on your Wishlist, don't wait for a sale, just get it and enjoy. Oh, and following a recommendation from another reviewer - DON'T look up things online. Figuring things out yourself or with friends makes it even better.

If you like card games that have you progress through random encounters to see how far you can go, this is a great game. I enjoyed a lot of what it has to offer.

I would love to see a game like this where the player had a little more control over their deck and maybe one where you don't lose everything after the run.

Highly recommended.
