Good remaster with the ability to switch to the old graphics for those seeking the original experience (press the right joystick).

Now remaster Blood Omen 2 and Defiance please.

Early Access Review
"It's not about the money, it's about sending a message."

I spent 26€ to tell Nintendo: "Stop giving us Gamefreak's crap, this is the kind of stuff we want." I'm gonna be honest, I don't think this game will ever leave early access, Pocketpair's other game, Craftopia released in 2020 is still in early access but even in this state, Palworld looks more fun than the game it's copying and I hope it's successful enough to force Nintendo to step up its game. Another Pokémon clone people should check out is Cassette Beasts which is available on Steam.

As for the game itself, I just played enough to be able to leave this review but it looks very pretty and surprisingly well optimized, I have an Intel i5 and 16GB Ram so I only meet the minimum requirement but it runs pretty well with the high preset.

Review after 3.8 hrs:
It is a survival game where you can build a camp and craft items to help you. You can capture creature called "Pals" to help you in fights or crafting. I'm not really into survival games due to the lack of free time I have so I set the difficulty to casual so I can relax, build stuff and enjoy. The game is very fun so far, I would say the survival part is alright, nothing groundbreaking compared to other games of that kind. It's the "Pals" that are really selling it for me, this is what I always wanted from a Pokémon game and I hope they expand this side of the game.

Even if the hype for this game dies and people forget about it, I hope it makes enough of an impact so we get more Pokémon-like games better than what one of the biggest video game company is giving us right now.
