4/22/24 - game still has no anti cheat. 7/10 premier games will have spin botters.

No new maps or anything, still the same game since it came out with fixes to bugs and graphic updates.

4/20/25 - got some new maps but still not anti cheat.

similar to lords of magic.

Easy to play game - a bit repetitive but still fun.

good luck figuring out controls if you don't have a controller for PC.

Pros:
Great Graphics
Challenging combat mechanics
Multiple types of units
multiple combination of stats
Decent story
Cons:
Stuck on ground open world (no jumping, climbing or any Z axis mechanics)
Scripting could use some work (dialogue doesn't feel like a communication between 2-3 people sometimes)
Gear progression is off (start with Grey gear then legendary then green and maybe blues if they are better than legendary)
Merchants for gear or items are bit pricey
Ranged classes are OP/Hollow Blades are OP (over balancing is okay, some classes outshine others)
No facial expressions on NPCs O_O (everyone looks like they are cracked out on Adderall)
Combat maps are small (you can lose a fight on the first turn)

Overall-
There are a lot of cons but all in all I am enjoying the game. I have been craving a turn based strategy game like this for a while and it hits the right spots. The RPG elements in the game makes it even better. I haven't played the first kings bounty and it doesn't feel like I am missing out on anything which is good I suppose for someone new to the IP but it does not give me a reason to play the first one. If you are into RPGs or Turn Base Strategy games I highly recommend it. This isn't like warhammer at all (much smaller scale battles). I wish there was more character development or party interaction.

Fun, eye candy, worth the money.

Even though the game was a little cheesy sometimes, I still enjoyed it, had a few laughs here and there with some dry humor conversations. If you like classic turn base strategy games then I would give this one a try. I did not play the other games prior to this one but the story does a good job telling about what happened in the past. There is also a section on the title screen to catch up with the lore of the game. Graphics are decent even though they could have done a better job in detail. I would really like to see more adventuring and in the world of cold steel. There were times where it felt like you could only play in the area of the level/chapter you were on.

Took me 150 hours to complete the game under normal difficulty. If I spent more time reading and participating with in game activities like the card game I could add 20 more hours on top of that.
