One of the most highly recommended games. Larian Studios really put everything they've learned from their Original Sin series into this, while bringing Faerun to life. They show a real love of the source material while telling a compelling unique narrative. Even more incredible is the options that are available to the player to really make the story their own. While transferring from early access was initially a little rough (full uninstall/reinstall with a specific file deletion) it was absolutely worth any trouble. Plenty of changes in act 1 were added to keep the experience from feeling stale after the development period. If you enjoy CRPG, Tabletops, DND, Dragon age, or Larian this one is a must. If you like video games in general this one is worth a try.

Many games have tried to capture the feeling of a ttrpg session, none do better than wildermyth. Don't get me wrong there are ones that go off of the official rules, ones with more stunning graphics, and some that have detailed stories and worlds; but wildermyth's random events bring a sense of freshness to each campaign while also giving players a deeper connection to the characters. I would love to see more content as the game grows but even without any additional work this will be a game I'll definitely be coming back to, while I try to bring characters to mythwalker level and raise new and more powerful characters under them.

Early Access Review
Hades is a wonderful game, even in the early access state, that has left plenty of room for narrative surprises when the game launches in full. I would most recommend it for fans of Path Of Exile who have completed their league journey, as it has a similar feel in the experimental play style when building a set of powers for a run. The use of narrative reasoning for the procedural death experience is immersive and adds levity to failed runs. The dialogue is entertaining and feels like banter between Olympian gods, while slowly revealing secrets about the world and the relationships between the characters. There are plenty of secrets to find giving it plenty of replay value, there are also various dialogue possibilities keeping the interactions fresh and fun. The art style is something beautiful which is to be expected from Supergiant Games but with it's own unique flair and flavor. Hades sports a very hand drawn aesthetic with clear inspirations from ancient greek stylizations. Overall a good addition to anyone's library.

One of the best games out there for ARPG fans who like complex and rewarding mechanics. Though the endgame content is less accessible to those new to the game, this is definitely a must for fans of Diablo 2 or any ARPG. With a price like free why wouldn't you give it a go, I mean you may lose some time but face it your reading game reviews right now, you clearly have some to spare
