I absolutely loved the beta, felt wonderful, looked good, audio was nice. Guns felt like guns, everything felt more grounded, amazing destruction physics. Of course the final game toned down effects, made the time to kill longer while punishing anyone not using auto-rifles, smgs, or lmgs. In the beta it felt like everyone had a good chance of doing well unlike the full release. Of course they went with a hero/operator system instead of actual customization. In fact the customization is worse than 2042, at least is 2042 i can change a hat or helmet. The UI is awful as well. This game is worse at most half of its price. I was extremely excited for this game, I got addicted to playing it during the beta and even went back to 4,5, and 2042. This is just a sad game. At least it's campaign is playable.

Edit: Needed to edit this review as I initially refunded it and since bought it again. Although what I said above still holds true, the game is not as bad as I felt it was at the time I posted the review. I wouldn't immediatly say I reccomend this gaem but I do think that the game is worth playing IF you get it on sale, probably 20-50% sale at the moment. The way the battle pass and stuff is isn't good and the further loss of customization was not a downgrade I was expecting. Buy at your own risk but I promise you will have some fun on the regular multiplayer mode and on the campaign if it's your thing. It isn't as clear cut as it is bad or good. Currently leaning still more to the do not buy but maybe after a while and some bug fixes i could recommend this at full price.

Fun to play in short bursts

This game was very fun to play, though the waiting is a bit longer than id want it is very fun. Though if your using quest link the mic may or may not work as it wont work for me

I remember playing this for around 2 hours total on my xbox over the years, now im a bit older and the games had updates and i find this game super fun for people into mmo games and bethesda games like skyrim. I use to not enjoy it very much but i bought this on pc on sale and honestly id pay fuil price for what the game offers from the base game purchase. Buy the dlc on sale because it is worth it on sale.

This was basically abandoned for the quest port which isn't free anymore. to get meta kids to buy their ripoff cod points for boring knife skins.

Like other negative reviews, this app consistently crashes every 30 minutes. When I first purchase I had no problems for my first 28 hours and since then it had been a buggy mess. Was fun and got me addicted to full body but it constantly crashed an even broke steam vr a few times as well needing a full restart of my vr. Do not buy this, Get K2VR instead.

I find this game a ten out of ten but that's because it is basically a perfect space flight universe simulator and it does this right. If that's what your here to play for than this game is for you. BUT, if you want an easy arcade type game that isn't what you'll find here and it is probably not for you, though I would say to still give it a try because if you give it the time of day it could become your favorite game ever!

I would have just a few days ago recommended this game but with them adding the anti-cheat without implementing better systems, menus, accessibility options and bug fixes, and internal protection systems against malicious avatars and clients that go through anti-cheat I can't recommend the game. Some of the clients and mods were very helpful to me and MANY many others who used them, as well as adding fun features and in game protection against bad avatars, people, and other clients that actually damaged the game. Without these features the game will be much less enjoyable and for some, unplayable. I EXTREMELY recommend the VRChat devs to take out the anti-cheat until they can effectively implement these Quality-of-life additions and actual effective fixes to this game. There would also be less bad actors if the devs or whoever looks at the reports of users and take action in the correct way, I have had friends banned for being furries while simultaneously seen the same users with crashers, ripping software, and bad clients just running around everywhere with the reports on them not even seeming to do anything. I also used mods to keep my game running smoothly because VRChat has so many restrictions on quest to optimize for them yet on my pc I can't get this game without mods to run higher than 25 fps most of the time yet i can run larger more taxing games like EliteDangerous in vr at max graphical settings. This game has the potential to be the best VR social platform but there are so many overlooked problems in the game and now with the anti-cheat I no longer even want to socialize in the game out of fear that my anti-crasher mods and performance mods won't keep me from getting crashed and keep me running at 30fps seeing that this game doesn't perform well on cheaper pc's.

Update: Now that a good bit of quality of life changes were put in place I can now recommend this game again. However, there is still a lot of QOL changes that need to be put in as well as other accessibility controls and options. VRChat is now better than its base game without mods was a few months ago but there are some mods that should have still been allowed into the game, mods that do not impact other users negatively. All in all VRChat is a good game and mostly has recovered from its mishap of adding EAC without first implementing the QOL features.
