I gotta be honest, tho, system requirements on the store page mentioned that it needs NVIDIA GPU cards to run this game, but actually, it can on AMD (ATI) GPU cards. I played this game about 10 hours non-stop and it's pretty promising for a new generation of Ace Combat games. Classic, yet modern. Know what I'm saying?

60+ fps (90-100 fps recorded in High 1080p settings, 500+ in Medium 720p settings) in Core i5-6400 CPU, Radeon RX 470 Graphics GPU, and 16 GB RAM. Quite loudy fan on my PC, but still provides smooth and photorealistic gameplay, despite using the CPU resources up to 100% for unknown reasons.

This game is perhaps one of a kind, and different than the previous titles I played so far. Classic plane shoot-down style and airstrike on those enemy ground forces, not like Assault Horizon, with DFM, ASM, that sort of thing...
And the Skies Unknown... man, it sure like bringing back the good old days in elementary school.

A bit of dislike, however. With the classic style, I found a bit difficulty in shooting down planes with machine gun and laser weaponry. This is like back in my LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 2 days (or today the DCS: World) that machine gun (and laser weaponry) reticle must be at the center of the target, but in this game the reticle stiffly moves with constantly changing G-turns and smaller hitbox, unlike previous titles like AC4 and AC5 where the reticle moves with the aircraft's turn/bank rate and larger hitbox. Except that the reticle slowly adapting and quickly positioned when the aircraft comes to a standstill (no movement), the smaller hitbox for the machine gun/laser weaponry therefore makes this game similar to the flight simulator games.

With more realism style like cloud cover and interactive cockpit while maintaining the arcade style of the previous titles, this is where the key of efficiency comes in, in terms of shooting down an enemy aircraft with the machine gun. Don't expect this to be like previous Ace Combat games, because this is much more like Ace Combat 2, a much more classic game in 1990s, where you'll found it too hard to shoot down enemy fighter jet or ground units with the machine gun, but too easy on a transport/large-sized plane (and why Bamco didn't put an Su-25 here?). A lot of training must be put in this game if you are a fan of Ace Combat games, or those who likes both arcade and realism style.

If you are a returning player from Assault Horizon, be warned that this game has an entirely different layout when playing with only keyboard. I highly suggest to adjust the game controls first before playing, to familiarize yourself, or adjust it to like the "Assault Horizon reboot".

I bought this game on my birthday, and it's the best gift I've ever had. I would recommend this if you are an Ace Combat fan like me.

P.S.: Don't trust reviews that "not recommending" this game because of the flight stick issue. I don't have a flight stick because of the price tag and I used PS2 joystick (USB to PS2 converter) to play this game. There'll be no exception that I'll be using it on any flight simulator games and not just AC7 (greetings to Hayatemaru for NOT using X360CE from the guide below).
