Musashi herself is already one of my favorite characters from Fate/Grand Order, and I'm happy to say that this game amplifies her even further. I'm already personally bias enough to have bought the game on multiple platforms several times.

Fate/Samurai Remnants is a Action RPG and is very different from the typical hack-n-slash nature of Koei Techmo's other titles. It's a healthy mix between exploration and battles. The exploration aspect has the player visiting different locations set within the Edo period within Japan. While battles are a simplified real time action RPG. Both do not overstay it's welcome, and the main focus of the game is the bond between Iori and Saber.

Miyamoto Iori is the adopted son of Musashi, and Saber is Iori's servant who are both part of the Holy Grail War. The game is fluid for the most part, and doesn't experience any major frame rate or resolution drops throughout the adventure. Fate/Samurai Remnants does NOT have online play, however the game does feature multiple endings, encouraging replay-ability with New Game+, including additional content to allow the player to use the other servant and master pairs albeit for a short amount of time. As stated above, the story is about Iori and Saber, and the game does feature many side quests that will nail you an easy 50 hours of play time.

I highly recommend the game to any avid Fate series fan, and especially Fate/Grand Order players as the story takes place between the events of Shimosa and the Lost Belts. If you're new to Fate, the game will explain the basic fundamental concepts to you such as Holy Grail Wars, Servants/Masters, Command Seals etc. However, at it's core, the game (and series as a whole) is a visual novel. If you're not a fan of reading or visual novel games, this many not be the best game for you.

Either way, I love this game and it's my game of the year for 2023. Thank you.
