Overall: Flawed, but good.
Should you buy: Play the demo first, then decide. Don't buy blind.
Pro's: Amazing music, great visuals, fun weapons, amazing flow state
Cons: Only about 4-6 hours of actual content, often interrupts flow state due to jank, scoring system is busted, leaderboards are score only [no time-based leaderboard] and only offer limited view [10 players around you / top 10 world].
----------------------------
Breakdown of the issues I have with the game. This will be all the negative stuff I have to say about the game. If I'm not complaining about something here, I think it's good.

Weapon switching - just awful. Weapon switching does not interact with the beat meter, but still takes a full beat to perform. A.k.a: If you are like me and weapon switch right after firing, the animation locks you out of your next beat. This absolutely wrecked my flow state. Eventually I just stopped trying to use multiple weapons.

Combos - useless, unless you're going for high scores. That's because all they do is give you scores for performing certain actions in game. Execute two enemies in a row? A bit extra score. Reload and break a health crystal with your first bullet? Extra score. Nothing more, nothing less. Some combos are unnecessarily jank due to /REQUIRING/ soar to use. Soaring = jump, instantly followed by dash. Most notably 'death from above' combo, which is simply soar into execute an enemy. It would be much more consistent if it was simply 'execute an enemy while in air', but at that point it would be ridiculously easy to do it. Solution? Make better, more interesting combos. Not... this.

Score - In game you might notice that top rank people on the leaderboard have 30 million+ high scores on stages, while you have a few million. You might wonder how they did this. Here's the answer: Take the lowest possible damage weapon in the game [skull], and build up an insanely high hit combo. A hit combo of ~1400 will give you ~30million score. All your dreams of having fun? Gone. Go hit enemies with a wet noodle if you want to compete for high score.

Leaderboard - Why is there only score leaderboard? Why not time? This game would be amazing at that. Why can I see only the 10 people around me in score and the top 10 on the leaderboard? Why no weapon-specific leaderboards? [Ex: Use only shotgun during the mission]

Mod support - Just... implement steam workshop. You've already added mod support. But it's a multiple step process, and the download link in the news article you've posted doesn't even take you to the mod package.

The sword's ultimate - You have amazing music. I get what you were going for with the ultimate, and the first few times you use it, it works. Replacing the amazing music with a repeating riff that allows you to hammer away at enemies I mean. But it interrupts the music. :( Let the sword hit on half-beat during it's ultimate. Effectively the same thing, but much more varied audio during it.

The sigils [upgrades] -
Boon Momentum [Gain boons from hit streaks sooner] does effectively nothing. Because either you don't get hit, in which case you don't need Boon Momentum to get the boons, or you're running Streak Guardian [You can get hit or go off beat a few times before your hit streak resets], which does effectively the same thing, but better. That is assuming, you even care about the boons in the first place. The boons do so little I even forgot to complain about them above - and I'm not fixing that issue with my review. It should show just how little they actually matter.
Ghost rounds [Gain extra ammo after switching weapons] are great on paper, but horrible in execution due to weapon switching issues outlined above. Furthermore, they encourage using high damage weapons. High damage means less executions means less score... which, well, when the only long-term content in your game is score leaderboards... not good.
Last Breath Aegis [More damage at low health] is... not working well within the context of this game. You gain health back constantly via executions, especially when going for high score.
Perfectionist [More style meter points per on-beat action] - If you can reliably do actions on beat, you can have maxed out style meter easily. If you can't, this isn't going to help.

Boss Music - for whatever reason, most if not all bossfights have DIFFERENT BPM THAN THE STAGE MUSIC. I always have whiplash for the first 10-30 seconds of a bossfight, trying to adjust to the new pace.
