BSOD or alternately CTD because of Easy Anti-Cheat. Solution according to Devs is to disable Intel Turbo Boost in BIOS. I am not disabling perfectly fine BIOS settings that work just fine in all other games because they choose Kernal level DRM. I paid good money for a high i9-14900K and it's features that work great for other games. If I hadn't been an early adopter and just come back, I'd request a refund. Get Bent.

I'm reviewing this from the perspective of it being a tech demo for RTX Remix. I have an i9-1300KF, RTX3080ti, 64BG of RAM. I get 23 frames per second with this version of Portal. It's abysmal. You've managed to turn a 20 year old game into a slide show. Congradulations.

What's your record for longest time to beat a game? I'd be willing to bet I can top it 23 years and 8 months. I got the origonal System Shock and loved it, but I never beat it. Until this very day. Today, friends, I stand tall before you and proclaim VICTORY over Shodan! I thought this was a prefect homage to the original. Well done Deep Dive.

Terrible physics and terrible generated roadbook. Just awful all around. Go buy BeamNG Drive instead.

Revised March 2022 - Still does not qualify as a SIMULATOR. It's a very pretty video game about airplanes. Most systems are not actually able to be modeled under the current engine. Taking off in a tail dragger or high powered single engine aircraft (ie Caravan) in real life requires a boot full of rudder, but MSFS treats rudder input the same at 1kt as it does at 180kt, its as if its on some kind of rail. Icing systems still do not work correctly. Propeller feathering was only just added now - a fundamental function of how propeller aircraft work. Reverse thrust is a button to push and hold with no option for selecting an axis range - something other sims figured out decades ago. Even third party utilities can inject the code to make this happen fairly easily ie) FSUIPC. Why do I need to get a third party app to make a basic function of an aircraft work using mechanisms already imbedded in the game. Don't get me started on Beta range in turbo props.
It's like they didn't even consult someone who'd flown these aircraft to see how they work. Beta is essential to how Turboprops work. The default avionics are still woefully inadequate to simulate actual IFR and require third party add-ons to get even close (Big props to Working Title for their hard work in this area). The market place is still a mess, and really needs to vette the addons that are added there. Updates that are 10-40GB and throttled download speeds on Microsoft's servers mean that you will sometimes wait for a day or so when you just want to jump in and do a circuit after work. Even then, the marketplace items need to be updated manually after this.

Not ready yet. Beautiful graphics and if you want to rip around with your Xbox controller and show your friends it's amazing. I'll say it again, IT LOOKS AMAZEBALLS!!

But it is lipstick on a pig. As a simmer of 30 years and a professional pilot of 20, the aircraft are barely modeled. Avionics don't even show proper icons for airports or navaids, and most procedures are missing. As an example, I took off in a flight in the King Air 350i (I have a bit of time in a B1900D - very similar but older in real life flying). Most aircraft systems do not function, the anti-ice system (I'm Canadian, I turned on winter) does not work at all; I flew through a cloud at -1 C and climbed to FL230, in the clear with the boots and windshield heat working all the way to destination, and still landed with an aircraft COVERED in ice. I'm sure someone who's never flown in ice thinks that's cool, but it is not how it works. Autopilot modes do not work, or if they do they work inconsistently. I even paid for the 182T in the market place since it is from Carenado which produce quality aricraft at a premium. This was $34 CAD. Same lame ass Garmin-alike glass cockpit as the standard 172, none of the functions work, and to boot, on takeoff, it pitches nose down and yaws left like there is a drunk in the right seat stomping on your rudder. Once in the air, engaging the autopilot with any altitude selected results in a nose dive to the ground. The Airbus auto-flight modes are buggy and wig out consistently. Sooo many bugs.

The X-cub is nice and Landing anywhere you want is awesome. The majority of what I like to do in sims is simple landing places you can't land in real life, so it wins points on the X-cub/bush/back-country front. Good luck finding somewhere cool to land though since when you zoom in to the world map it grey's out and you can't see anything. I thought this whole game was based on satellite imagery Microsoft?!?! Why can't we see the map on the world map?

This will be uninstalled for a few months until updates happen, or worthy add ons arrive. For now, I have already wasted money on a worthless addon from a reputable developer, with no mechanism for refund. BEWARE MARKETPLACE PURCHASES.

Not set up for PC. The controls are confusing if you are using a wheel, as it defaults to showing xbox controller legend on screen. No way to access menus directly. you need to enter a race, press B, then escape 2x to get to a game menu. Awful vague force feedback. If you play with a controller you will be fine, but for a racing sim player, stay away.
