Early Access Review
Great game if you used to enjoy making marble tracks as a kid, there's a good amount of variety in the part types and the physics are fun to watch, it's fairly simple but allows for a lot of creativity with what you can do and the kinds of tracks you can make
(you can even disable parts snapping to a grid if you want to be really precise)

It also throws in the idle game mechanics for gradual progression, even while you aren't actually playing, letting you unlock access to more interesting parts and higher numbers of parts over time, which is cool if you are into idle games or only play a little bit at a time
(though you can get 'sandbox mode' if you don't care about that and just want to be able to build whatever you want from the get go)

Could use a few tweaks and additional features but it's only just become available as early access at the time of writing this and the dev has been actively working on the game (sometimes even streaming themselves making updates), so I have no doubt the game will get even better.

Loved the original, tried to play it but it wouldn't work on modern computers, found this, it works, brilliant.

Great game, some cool mechanics like with the commanders, simultaneous turns and faction combinations, absolutely NO pay-to-win whatsoever.

I think a lot of people are judging this game with rather high expectations, resulting from a combination of the belief that the game would be the 'next evolution' of the megaman series and of the games funding amount and development time, while this isn't wrong I do think it adds a bit of bias.

Sure there were plenty of frustrating times playing the game but mostly that was me making mistakes and failing as I would in the old megaman games, even with the final boss, I was getting so mad until I discovered a good combination of abilities to use and blasted right through it, although I do think the sections of falling through columns of intsa-death spikes and the part where you're supposed to crouch-dash under turbines to be bad design.

And they could've done something to make some of the hints a bit more obvious, or maybe have a couple of the key ones popup during the tutorial level or something, I didn't even realise you could change the number of starting lives until I was half way through the game and was looking through the games options.

That being said I've had a geniuninely good time playing through the game, when I look at it just for what it is and what it costs I think it's a pretty decent game, sure with all the funding and time they probably could've done better but on it's own it's not bad at all, the controls work well, the dashing is fun once you get used to it, you can tackle the bosses in whatever order you want (unlike some megaman games), there's some interesting abilities and generally it just feels like an old megaman game, which, when you think about it, is really what it was always meant to do.

Climbed out of map, found rainbow bridge, climbed up skyscraper, found secret, skydived, missed target, fell off bottom of map, got teleported to top of map (instead of falling forever and having to restart like every other game I've fallen under the ground in), skydived again, hit target, options menu opened. 10/10

Yeah, this was all just in the main menu. XD

All jokes aside the mechanic is really cool and it's fun to try out the levels using different guns/gun orders/gun upgrades and to play all the custom levels people have been making.

Level creation is cool, it's fairly easy to use and doesn't take long to get used to, though it could do with a few more interactable objects and the ability to really test out a room properly without having to make an arena with it or submit it to the steam workshop, could also use the ability to fly while building since it can get annoying to build tall structures when you keep falling off.

Music is awesome.

Definately value for money, don't even bother waiting for it to go on sale, just buy it, NOW.

Cool game, the teleporting mechanic is interesting and I think its good that each level has separate ways to earn medals so if you enjoy seeing how fast you can complete a level more than trying to rescue 100% of the civillians (or vice versa) it caters to that.

The keyboard/mouse controls could use a little refining, since some actions require you to have both hands on the keyboard even though you need to use the mouse to teleport, but if youre using a gamepad (I use JoyToKey) its great.
