If you're looking for a mostly vanilla experience, with custom maps, i've got it!

HL1 has standard deathmatch, gungame, and gauss only available as options for you to vote on every round, alongside a typical map vote.

HL2 currently just has DM (i'd love to the gamemode vote like hl1, but the plugins dont really exist for that), but it's got some decent custom maps, and i'm always looking for more, if you have suggestions!
