The gameplay core has a lot of potential, fun and addictive.
but this game is not friendly to a new player at all
I can't recommend this game in good faith because it has too many problems added up over its lifespan,

Here’s why I don’t recommend this game (I won't go into detail anymore)
  • 5minlab made Smash Legends to be A LOT more pay-to-win.
  • 5minlab balancing is horrendous and frustrating.
  • 5minlab barely communicates with their player base.
  • 5minlab made A LOT of cash grab changes and updates.
  • FOMO tactics
  • Smash Legends is a horrible experience for new and free-to-play players.
  • Anti-grinding system and lack of incentive to play.
  • Ranked mode lacks rewards and incentives to play.
  • There are a lot of bots in Matchmaking due to a low player base.
  • Clan system lacks functions (literally just a name tag).
  • Pay-to-win gacha rune and enchantments update.
  • Removal of game mode (Team Touchdown)
  • Lack of new content (game only get new content in form of new legend that come out every 2 month) (never mind it's just battle pass for skin now... they delay the new legend)
  • Powercreep from new legends
  • Many unnecessary currency added to the game in the recent update
  • Remove legend leveling system just for them to add it back again but more costly to upgrade and locked everything behind legends level
  • Battle Passes (Smash Pass, Premium Pass, Spin-off Pass) that can only be progress with annoying daily missions
  • Cosmetics gacha banners

    5minlab has SMASHed this game's potential and chances of it making a comeback
