Well, the helpful, informative review I gave this game, with reasons why I thought the way I did, was consistently downvoted as unhelpful.. so, the Steam Community has spoken, and asked for a meaningless and pointless review instead. So here it is.

3/10 Would waste my money again. Not.

So.. I loaded the game, and sat there looking at a vintage-style monitor, with a row of video clips and a text box for typing a search word. And sat there a bit more... until I realised that this WAS the game, and there are no rules, other than, "start". So I started.. and got hooked quite quickly on this murder-mystery title.

A word of warning though - if you like a scripted, instruction-filled and linear game, this will not be for you. And seriously, there are literally no instructions other than "type a search word to search the database". But if you like creating your own way of doing things, having to use deduction and guesswork, as well as having a good ear for picking out inconsistencies and keywords, this will be right up your street,

It took me about 2 hours to learn enough to finish the game, but another 2 hours to watch all the other videos to make sure I had been correct. 4 hours of entertainment - money well spent.

9/10 - Unique, would watch Her singing ballads again.

I am slightly embarrassed to admit that this was the first GTA game I had ever played... but I'm certainly not embarrassed to admit that I bought this one, and consider it worth every penny spent.

The dictionary definition of 'open world' ought to have this game high on its list - just amazing how you can do whatever you want, go wherever you want, generally mess around and have one heck of a lot of fun doing it...

And then the missions and story - I expected as a first time player that I would be struggling, but nope, they seem to be set at some ideal dificulty level where it's completely possible to succeed even without being an expert - gets a big thumbs up from me.

And then the fantastic ability of this game to run smoothly on even my three year old laptop, with the sort of graphic settings that make other games freeze up and sulk.

I could say lots, but I won't, just go and buy it - even at the full price it's so worth it. More hours of entertainment than you can shake a violent stick at.
