Context: I'm a battlefield 3 junkie, liked COD MW 1 and 2, also liked tactical shooters like valorant/counter- strike.

This game is...interesting, it's the only game of its type there is on the market. The destruction system is top tier, you can destroy almost everything, forcing you to think differently when it comes to interacting with the environment in relations to the game objective, entry to the objective is broken? maybe broke the ceiling or the floor, etc.

The game put more emphasis on area control instead of gunfight, due to how high the time to kill is and the lack of gun customization.

There are no pay to win progression at the time of this review's writing, every weapon and gadget can only be obtained through in-game currencies that are obtainable by playing the game.

However above all that there's one problem, the game doesn't feel fun or meaningful for me. Sure, me being a tryhard in nature leaves me exhausted after every tournament match, but after I finish each game I felt "Do I wanna play more? is this actually fun?" unlike when I was trying battlefield 4 when I went "I wanted more of it!".

It's a niche first person shooter and I would recommend it if you're into this type of game, but you're someone like me, I wouldn't recommend it.

A game for the rich, if you have IDR 5 million to spare to access all of the existing contents, on top of spending some more for gameplay advantages such as the deluxe edition of season passes that gives you instant access to exotic, welcome to Destiny 2.

The rest of us who are only willing to spend max of IDR 600k for a game? uhh yeah let's find another game.

It takes forever to load even to the MAIN MENU compared to the other shooter games in the market, gunplay is inferior compared to its predecessor, inferior destruction, bad map flow, bad ui design/signal to cooperate with other players compared to BF V.

Questionable design decision when it comes to the vehicles, the maps are 2 times larger yet it's harder to play/find vehicles compared to previous games, 1 jet per teams whereas legacy maps can hold 2? 1 heavy tank per maps? defender on breakthrough doesn't have access to AA to combat the attack helicopters?

Almost every maps in BF 3 you are guaranteed to have fun and good gameplay flow from point A to point B, can't have the same confidence in this game.

Granted I'm currently using hard drive, hence the long loading screens, but making me wait significantly longer compared to Apex Legends, Modern Warfare, Fortnite, Battlefield V and more to have an inferior experience? Whole game feels like being held together by duct tape.

Credit where credit is due, the game has now been more optimized, and the changes to the class system makes things more interesting, such a shame you can't enjoy the system.

Fun game, but horrendous progression, especially the battle pass.

Would recommend for the gameplay alone, but not for player who's looking for worthwhile progression.

Laggy SEA/Asia servers, and horrible menu UI. Shame, there's a good game underneath it especially the DMZ, but it just plays like ♥♥♥♥, and navigates like ♥♥♥♥.

Game is not currently at the most optimized state, although there are some workarounds which can alleviate some of the issue. It doesn't make the game totally unplayable, just makes it annoying, especially if you have higher end PCs.

The game itself is great, a culmination of every soulslike fromsoftware has made, from Demon's Souls, Dark souls trilogy, Bloodborne, and Sekiro. Although the game still retains it's difficulty's DNA, it is the most accessible soulslike fromsoft has made from the variety of options you can have to tackle your enemies.

If you're willing to wait until the performance is fixed, I'd suggest wait for the best first time experience. If you're a hardcore fromsoft fan who wanted to get into it ASAP, you have to be willing to put up with some of the stuttering performance, especially in the open world when you can really feel the game is trying to load assets mid gameplay.

A solid fun game with questionable progression system, if you wanna play for the fun, you'll get it. If you're goals oriented, be it from progression, you might find yourself exhausted early by the ladder you have to climb to get certain cosmetics EVEN if you buy the battlepass.

One of the best BR game out there, unfortunately often riddled with bad server connection on singapore server, Indonesian players and SEA players alike, beware.
