Everyone likes Hotline Miami, right? Put on a mask, smash the fash, kill a dog with a pool cue, it's all great fun until you get shot 10 times in a row.
Keep an eye out for any floating pixels you see...

I really enjoy this game. Gave me some of the feelings I had as a kid playing Master of Orion I and II. It's a great space 4x game, the events are fun, the technologies are interesting, interesting races with interesting play styles, lots of polish for the graphics and sound.
I highly recommend this game to anyone interested in this style of game.

I didn't like this game. The movement and jumping feel floaty, the rooms feel very small and constrained, I like the idea of making your own weapons but the actual combat isn't fun or rewarding enough to make me want to put in the time to really see what kind of crazy guns you can make.
I don't recommend this game.

It's good, if you think you'll like it all just buy it.

This game is pretty awful. Do not pay any money for it.

I may not have given this game enough time but I found it extremely off putting. First of all the first 20+ minutes are very slow, mostly just wandering around a starting town speaking with NPCs. The dialogue is OK but the pacing is awful, it talks about a bunch of stuff the player has no interest in, it's 100% not the way to open a game.
Then I got the combat where you wander around a dungeon with some simple combat and simple puzzles. This part of the game I did not give much time too because I was already so put off by this game.
I see it is reviewed very highly but if you aren't a die hard JRPG fan who is willing to put up with stuff like slow starts and awkward combat I cannot recommend this game.

I honestly for the life of my can't understand why this game has so many recommendations. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to almost anyone.
It's very basic in terms of game design, graphical style, I guess it can allow for some "flow state" play but if you are into that sort of thing there are much titles out there.
There's just not much to this game.

I can't get into this game due to the odd way your plane controls. It's not a terrible game but there are just too many odd design decisions in this game for me to recommend it.

I haven't beaten the game yet but I feel like I'm pretty far into the game so far. It's quite an odd duck really. The tactical elements don't appear to be too deep. There are synergies and you want to play to the strengths of your battleship. But there is also a narrative element that frankly is probably too much for a video game but was interesting enough that I've read all of it.
So I recommend the game. I'm sure you can buy it for pretty cheap. So if you have any interest in actually playing a strange little scifi tactics rogue-lite type experience with some reading required then just get it and play it.

Honestly while Borderlands 1 is a great game the GOTY Enhanced edition simply has way too many bugs for a "cash grab" re-release of an already heavily monetized product. I've bought the original, pretty much all the DLC, and now they release this product with bugs where bluetooth headphones cause the audio to cut out when you get into game, a constant and terribly annoying bug where a custom map waypoint is constantly added to any map I happen to be on, and many other annoying bugs of one description or another. And after all this time it's obvious they don't care to fix any of it.
And on top of that they got rid of the original Angel actress and effects, replaced it with something terrible and the graphics frankly are in some cases upgraded in some cases look WORSE.
Gearbox and Randy P don't seem up to the task of making, publishing and supporting good games anymore.
