I grew up playing super mario brothers on the nintendo entertainment system. I played many other bright and colorful platformers over the course of my childhood but once I reached adulthood almost no one was making these kinds of games anymore. It was just Call of Duty and Fallout 3, good games but also good examples of the "gritty realism" so prevelent in todays AAA games.
Rayman Origins is surely the greatest evolution the platforming genre has seen since Mario Bros. The 2d graphics are amazing. High resolution, beautfilly animated, joyously designed. The game is a visual feast.
The gameplay is simple yet deep. You can learn to play in five minutes but it will take months to master. Controls are precise, moves are varied, this is approaching the height of platforming game design. If you liked Super Meat Boy, you will love this game. If you are sick of all the "gritty realism" in games today, you will love this game. And if you are just a fan of well made video games you will lov

ZenoClash is one of those rare games in the industry which doesn't just play follow the leader. It is a truely innovative game and I found it to be a very enjoyable experience.
To briefly describe the gameplay, imagine a wrestling game crossed with a first person shooter and dipped in a vat of Salvador Dali's immagination. Basically there are a series of battles in which you use your fists, kicks, grabs and sometimes weapons, both melee and ranged. The systems are complex and feel really rewarding when mastered. Some may find the systems a little difficult to master, I know it took me several hours of gameplay to begin to feel competent. If you enjoy a challenge that shouldn't put you off this game.
The setting is spectacular, very odd and unique and not an art style you see in many games. The world is rich and although there is not a lot of story the world itself and the design of the world makes the game a richer experience.
Ran out of room, verdict, BUY IT!

First turn based startegy game to come out in the modern area that has really gripped me the way the old classics like Heroes of Might and Magic did. I love, love, love this game and highly recommend it and its sequels to any strategy game fans, hardcore OR casual.
The art is beautiful, the graphics very good, the game offers lots of depth and many different strategies are effectice, unlike some games where there is one totally broken strategy that is way better than any others.

Basically a large add-on to Armored Princess with a couple short campaigns thrown in. Overall a very enjoyable package and since it includes Armored Princess I would definitely recommend purchasing Crossworlds instead of Armored Princess. Of course I love this series and so I have purchased King's Bounty: The Legend here on Steam AND on Good Old Games (shout out to the great gog.com) AND Armored Princess AND Crossworlds. It is just a shame they don't have Crossworlds on gog.com b/c I would buy another copy.
If you love strategy games then buy this, you will love it.

One of the best strategy games to come out in a long time. Many fans were dismayed to hear the developer was not going to work on anymore KB games and instead focus on some MMO. Good news, that isn't the case and a BRAND NEW King's Bounty game is coming! Probably looking at a release date in the first half of 2012 and it will have all new content.
If you are a fan of strategy games of any kind but especially of turn based games then buy this game. It is well polished, well balanced, offers many exciting creatures to use and effective strategies to pursue. You will not regret it.
