I bought the Bioshock series as a bundle summer sale 2016 and a few months later i received the remastered versions of Bioshock and Bioshock 2 for free. Up until recently the games have just been sitting in my steam library waiting to be played. So finally I loaded up Bioshock Remastered and gave it a play, and I have to say that this game is great. This is my first ever experience playing any of the Bioshock games and the story and the twist at the end were fantastic to say the least. Although remastered version offers improved graphics (Slightly/Nothing Spectacular) it comes at the cost of crashing and a few bugs. Luckily I did not experience many crashs during my gameplay, but I did encounter a couple. Some during start up of the game and one during a level that required me to start it from the beggining (20 minutes later) I got back to where i crashed and I was fine for the rest of the game. I would reccomend using the quicksave feature like a few other Steam users reccomended (F8) One last thing i would like to add, when I started the game I had sound for the first cutscene but then it would just cut out and I would have no sound for the rest of the game. Obviously I wasnt going to settle for that and play with no sound, so i looked online for a solution and to my suprise there was many other users experiencing the same problem as me. Anyways the way i fixed it was by plugging in the microphone cord to my headset. This worked for me but might not for you so just do a little research on steam fourms if you have that problem (Knock on wood) Overall, its a great game and the "remaster" isnt half bad I just wouldnt pay for it. If you got the remaster free like me then give it a try. No harm done :)
