Review:

After a 3 month of playing Path of Exile 2, I can confidently say this is the ARPG evolution I was hoping for.

Positives:

The graphics are incredible—from the lifelike water reflections to the detailed character models, every environment feels alive and immersive. The campaign feels deeper and more engaging than POE1, with richer storytelling and smoother progression. I also appreciate how the passive skill tree is more intuitive this time around. It still offers depth, but it’s easier to navigate without feeling overwhelming. And while I was unsure at first, dodge rolling has really grown on me—it feels fluid and responsive now, and I find myself naturally weaving it into every fight.

Negatives:

That said, multiplayer could use some love. My friends and I play together daily, but we wish endgame progression could be shared instead of having to run maps solo for personal Atlas progress. I also think a map queue system like MMOs would go a long way toward making endgame more social and streamlined. Props to the devs for adding respawning in maps though—it’s a great touch that makes coop feel more forgiving.

Some ideas I’d love to see in future updates:

- A non-stop multiplayer tower defense mode with monster waves, building breaks, gear swaps, and skill adjustments—perfect for group sessions.

- Party Voice Chat. I think players should be engaged in voice chat at all times. This would help with finding friends, guild, and community.

- Path of Exile Radio – imagine tuning into an eerie, otherworldly station with real music (Trance, Deep House, Lo-fi, etc.) that shifts dynamically with bosses, maps, and player performance. An AI DJ? Why not!

- Dedicated party roles like tank, healer, and DPS, with a shared Party Passive Tree offering multiplayer-specific abilities (like chain heals or aggro tools). This would promote teamwork and help players connect more easily.

Overall, POE2 is a huge step forward in both feel and visuals. Can’t wait to see where it goes next!
