This is a "Not Recommended" because I shall responsible for PC community, however I will recommended it for PS4 version.

There is something about Nier: Automata, it’s an unforgettable experience, a unique journey, and some of the best definition of humanity-both inside and outside the game.

Story
10/10, unquestionable. Yoko Taro’s idea of unpredictable gameplay and amazing skill of “backwards scriptwriting”, combine with his understanding of human, give Nier: Automata, as well as Nier and Drakengard their soul. There are many moment we as player feels what the character feels, thanks to decision of force the player to spend as many time as possible with the character, to build up relationships, bonds, and memories. And then, destroy all of them, one by one, not just in front of the character, as well as in front of you. The linear story structure is also perfect for a hopeless, meaningless story like this. You think you can do something by making some decision, but in fact, you can’t. You are a doll who is play by the story, just like the characters are an automata who is play by their fate. After all, “Director: Yoko Taro” properly is a quality insurance for story whatsoever.

Gameplay
Well, there aren’t much I can talk about, I didn’t play a lot of ACT or ARPG, but there are one thing for sure. The gameplay mechanic is simple, it’s easy enough that pretty much everyone can play and enjoy the story, as well as making the well done camera changing possible.

Music
I don’t think there are much need to be say about music, everyone know how good it is.

Graphic, Performance, PC Port, and Asian Zone price
This game can be a masterpiece without this sh/itty PC port, Square Enix. I hat to mention this, but what Square Enix had done to the PC community is disappointed. How many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people had being complain about performance on PC? How many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ “Not Recommended” did this game get because the suddenly rise of price of Asian Zone without any explanation or announcement? This is the worst marketing I had seen for past years.

Overall:
Without all the BS marketing: 9.7/10
With all the BS marketing: 7.5/10

And by the way, PS4 version even had price off recently
