The gameplay itself is good. It is Dark Souls with the plane-shifting of Soul Reaver from back in the day. But I cannot recommend it without patching a nearly game breaking bug. Im using the free friend pass and my friend purchased the game. Ladders are barely usable for me, they are fine for the host. When going up a ladder, you have to spam sprint to climb, and then you get stuck at the top and have to jump or dodge to exit the ladder.

Going down the ladder is impossible because the animation does not put you on the ladder. You hang in mid air and then if you press any button it dismounts you to where you started. My friend had to scale down the ladder and I just jumped down and died, and he had to resurrect me each time. The game has hundreds of ladders and this needs to be fixed before I could recommend it. This does NOT happen when you are in the tutorial/single player.
