Early Access Review
It’s sad to hear this game won’t get to be the MMO it was intended to be, but what we have here is a game with fun combat, interesting mechanics, and a charming world. Combat can be very fun on harder difficulties that emphasize the importance of mechanics and being well-equipped. Grinding out gear can be a bit frustrating since chests hate you and will spit out anything from a houseplant to a useless armor piece not meant for you. Character abilities and weapon skills feel cool but need more depth in my opinion.

Big issues I found.

World sync/Quest sync
>Questing alone is fine, questing with friends is painful.
>Constant issues with NPC quest indicators not showing up for the host.
>Quests that disappear forever from your game if anyone but the host picks them up first.
>NPC with quest markers you can’t pick up for some reason.

Bugged enemies
>They disappear in the middle of a fight, randomly appear, or don’t show up at all.
>Few instances where my attacks just stopped doing damage while others still could.

Animation bugs
>Animations can get stuck for you or your enemies. The most annoying one that comes to mind is when the boss gate refuses to let people in. This issue happened too many times, and the only fix is to kick the bugged player or time your entry to avoid glitching someone else out.

While the foundation is strong, the rest of the game needs a few patches before I can recommend it.

Gameplay was buggy, voice acting was bad, and the story was just plain boring. Super annoying cutscenes where you get to listen to someone talk, it ends, you watch the person walk 2 feet, lean against a wall just so you can walk over and start another cutscene. The only redeeming factor here is the co-op play can be fun at times, but that’s it.

This is the closest I've come to feeling like I'm piloting a Gundam. 10/10

It’s in a much better state now and worth picking up on sale.

Awesome revamp of the warrior games. Beautiful story, the cutscenes were done really well and the combat is fun. Feels like watching an epic anime show, especially with the new art style they decided to try in this one. My only complaint is that it feels a bit short and I wish the rest of the playable warriors got a bit more of a spotlight to shine and really flush out the story a bit more. I picked it up on sale and it was worth the price for sure. 8/10

Graphically- This game is stunning, even on lower settings. It runs exceptionally well even on maxed out settings @1440p I was hitting an avg of 110-120 with an occasional dip to 90 under graphically stressful scenes/gameplay. The world is vibrant and just plain out gorgeous! The many puzzles throughout the world kept me going. It's rare I can say this but i had fun going for collectables and filling up my map in search of stronger gear while also exploring the beautiful open world.

Story- It pulled me in and kept me strapped to my seat for the whole ride. It’s been quite a while for me since the last time I was able to become so immersed in a single player story (Witcher 3), but something about this campaign and its storytelling kept me fully engaged in the world and the characters. I love the dynamic duo that is Kratos and his son, how they evolve during their journey and how they handle the loss of someone so differently but in a very realistic way. I also like Norse mythology, so experiencing this game's perspective from the other side of things was very fun and intriguing!

Gameplay- The combat is fun as hell! At the start I found myself bored of the same basic combos you start with but when the game world opens up and you see the slue of new abilities and combos you can purchase with xp, I found myself truly enjoying the skills and abilities more and more as I filled up my arsenal with new and different ways to combat the creative foes thrown my way! I love enemies being very diverse and this game gives you just that. Not holding your hand and requiring you to figure out the best methods to counter attacks and unblockables while having to learn their fighting pattern was very rewarding and satisfying for me especially with some more difficult late game bosses you encounter.

10/10

This game will beat you down but its worth every penny. The story is very well written, the art style is great and the game play will keep you going. Every life feels different with fun combination of weapons, ability buffs and blessings you receive from the gods of Olympus. Something about the slow uphill climb of getting stronger from every play through just kept me hooked!
