This game is janky, badly documented and the graphics look like they should be 20 years old, but it's immense fun. Why? It has found the answers to questions that plague Paradox and Total War games. You can't just build a huge military and blob mindlessly, your society will fall apart under the weight of its own bloated state apparatus. You actually have to build a functioning administration and integrate conquered territories. There are a few issues I do have with the game, but the sheer fun makes more than up for it.

I would really like to like this game, but in a very sad tale that is quite common for modern game development, some room temperature IQ executive forced its early release in a state that can be described as "early beta" - you can play it, it doesn't crash, but it's not fun. The mechanics work, but they aren't balanced and there is a lot of content missing or placeholdered. Everything is very barebones.

So why am I recommending it? There is a lot of potential there - it's the first Star Trek Grand Strategy ever - and they have access to the Star Trek IP, which allows modders a lot of freedom from copyright claims. The sad reality is the game will be discontinued and left unfinished without popular support, and I don't want to see that. Playing it has made me believe the developers are real Star Trek fans, and they don't deserve to be shafted by corporate leadership the way they are now. Please support them by buying the game.

A little bit repetitive, but tickles my Total War bone in just the right way. I wish they use the concepts introduced here (Satisfaction, Court positions, Retinues, Character wages etc.) in Medieval 3, if we ever get one.

Go on a walk through ?beautiful? France. Shoot Nazis. Bring freedom through firepower. What more could you ask?

Extremely relaxing. Making something beautiful and comfortable is a very nice break from the CONQUER KILLLLL ARRRRGH of other games.

It's Theme Hospital for our age, less of the little annoyances, more of the great humour.

Hammer the skulls of evil man-rats in. Very cathartic.

Infuriating at times, very Zen at others - but always in a good way

Excellent and very realistic WW1 FPS that doesn't have everyone running around with machine guns.

Great fun. Just remember to eat once in a while.
