Man what to say, it is a solid RPG experience all the way through with a thriving community and tons of repeatability not only in the base game but also through mods.

Do I love this game .... Yes I've been a long standing fan of the franchise and will probably still remain so but if i was to separate this out simply it would be this.....

if you want to play Halo Infinite with your friends and not engage with its scummy business practices wait till around February - March of 2022 for it to add co-op support to the campaign. play it complete it and then drop it.

The free 2 play everyone is calling on is:
4 Back grounds for player card
41 1-time Mission change cards (Not cosmetics)
12 1-2 armour attachments for each armour slot
4 Visor skins
4 Armour skins
2 stances

there are 100 levels each with at least 1 paid Battle pass item

Casually without getting any challenges it takes 20000 games to unlock to level 100 and for a non-paid player only 20 of those levels give anything of customisation value, there are over 150 customisation unlocks only obtained through the paid battle pass and the store would cost you a minimum of $100 per week to unlock all the offers there.

people talk about how call of duty and Fortine are worse, but they aren't. certainly, they are still disgustingly monetised, but they have something that Halo Infinite doesn’t. Obtainable currency in the game. so far from everything I can see the currency in Halo Infinite you can use to unlock customisation in the game with is not obtainable through anything other than a Credit card.

at least most other F2P models of this nature allow you (even if it takes a long time) to grind the currency to buy the "cool skins" through play but here there is none of that. I would have preferred a $80-100 game that wasn't F2P than what we got here.

Halo has never been this and we shouldn't accept this now just because it's "F2P" because that argument is weak and doesn’t justify the obscene price gouging this game has. if they dropped the price of everything buy $5-10, they would still make a killing, but because they have decided to make this a $10+ game they will kill the halo enthusiast audience that allowed them to get this far. and heck I’m an Australian so all the stuff that is $10 USD is $20 AUD so to get a reasonable looking load-out I would have to buy the equivalent of this game 5 times more because of their monetisation model.

In this state the only thing worth your time and money truly is the campaign and noting more

10 Hour Game Sessions = 0.5% Progress - Check
Sarcastically witty GM looking down from on high - Check
Game-play mechanics that take minutes to learn and days to master - Check
Life Sucking story that will keep you engaged for all eternity until even your soul has been lost to the 'Great Acron'

- Check

Honestly this game is amazing and I've barely scratched the surface and I expect Years of fun to be had.
If you like Tabletop RPG's such as PathFinder, Dungeons & Dragons and Call of Cthulhu you will absolutely love this immersive world.

To top it off not only can you play with friends but there is an Extremely Robust Game Master Mode that allows the creation of your own campaigns to play and experience with your friends so the fun never ends.

10/10 Would Recommend Purchasing

Early Access Review
If there was a way to say 50/50 in reviews I would probably do that. Lots Have people have covered the Good points of this Game;
- Active Dev team
- Reasonably large amount of content that is still growing.
- Clean UI
and more.

But I this review I would say my complaints and hope that they either get fixed or at least give you a more informed idea about what to expect.

In a previous review of this game I mentioned issues with connection and how players outside of USA could find that difficult to deal with, my opinion on the matter still stands and I wish there was more sever diversity so there can be better connections but based of the size of active players I've come to realize that might not change for some time.

another thing to note which I have no idea why this is different and wish to see changed is the Equipment stat system. In old Artix games all the Items showed 'Pure Stats' for example

Weapon A does:
14-20 Damage per Hit
With X Element
with 1,2,3 Added bonuses

All the new weapons do not do this, I know that the weapons and Equipment is better than my old stuff because it tells me but none of the stats seem to correlate into a damage chart I can easily Identify and that is quite frustrating in comparison to not only their old games but also lots of other similar MMO games out there.

Also the loot tables are equally botched, I think this is partly due to the nature of the games development and possible size of the team developing it but DO NOT BE FOOLED! if an Item says common and only drops from a boss that takes forever to respawn and is only dropped at a rate that appears to be 1% of the time it most certainly isn't common

Those are my main grievous with the game, despite all that for a game that is still in Early Access it is surprisingly good and is at least worth a look especially if you enjoy the Old Adventure Quest games.
