It is immediately apparent that this game is incredibly well crafted and brings some really cool twist to the Souls-like genre.

The visuals are incredible. Everything is very well stylized and has a very creative and interesting art direction. This game was definitely influenced by the Nioh games and brings more traditional Souls mechanics into the game for a very nice blend. The bosses are difficult but in a very learnable way, I never dragged trying to learn any of the move sets as they all are well telegraphed.

Something of note, this games camera is excellent. The first couple of bosses are all massive beast and the camera pans in and out to make sure you don't get blinded by the massive enemy which I appreciated a ton.

Cant wait for release!

This game is such a sleeper, it puts on a veil of a difficult but entertaining environment simulator with a very lax story but the deeper you get the deeper the lore goes. The games story telling is almost entirely environmental, and does an excellent job of that. An example is The Wall where through changing backdrops you start to understand how the world came to be.

Rainworld is very frustrating. Deaths are unfair, sometimes unavoidable, but I feel like that makes the end even more rewarding. You kind of are smashing your head against a wall until you get there, and that makes sense since you are one of the lowest animals on the food chain.

Overall a great game, definitely worth the money on Steam but you can get Steam Keys for like $2 which is criminally cheap. Pick it up!

Everything just feels very clunky. Constantly glitching into tree trunks in prone which literally remove all bushes from your vision giving you xray, ping is high and prone/crouch have massive delays. The gameplay is fine but those issues make the experience a whole lot worse

MAP 1 COMPLETION DATE: 9/3/2024
After ~60 long hours on Map 1, I can say this game is certainly the hardest game ive ever played. Ive played through basically all of the Souls games and this doesn't even get close. The difficulty spike from the beginning to Grapes for a new player is so cruel but the game is extremely well built and never feels unfair. So much thought was put into this game. You can get it for like $4 on CDKeys so there is literally no reason not to play, join the top 3% and complete the game!!!

The game is good, certainly worth the money and the world is fantastic. I loved the lore connection back to DS1 with certain areas. The Boss design is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy, all of them look incredible. There isn't a single boss who is horrible, some of them are just really mediocre.

It doesn't deserve the crazy praise it gets, I liked the game but certainly not as much as DS1. Definitely the 2nd best game out of the series

After finishing the entire DLC, it is NOT worth the $20. You are paying to run through trails with a few new enemies and while the environment is very pretty, there isn't anything really to do.

THE BOSS
this boss made me so angry. She doesn't have one health bar, not two, BUT THREE with each time her resistance gets higher. Shes incredibly hard and her attacks almost one shot as they usually trap you in stun-lock attacks. I hated every minute I fought her.

TL:DR
if you got this DLC because of the Premium Edition, cool! You should play through it, if not don't buy this ♥♥♥♥, just look up Sister Freide fight on YouTube and you'll see why its not worth it.
