Cozy and cute, I love working on something while my character does! I hope we get more activities and clothing options soon though.

This was better than Time Mysteries 2, and it wrapped up the storyline from the previous 2 games decently, though there are a couple of plot holes that I would have liked filled from the first game. The HO scenes were just the right amount of difficult and they did repeat, but thankfully not too much like most games I've encountered. Here it's 2 and usually no more. There were more puzzles this time than there were in TM2 and are now almost equal in amount to the HO scenes. Also, the puzzle difficulty is nice and some may pause you for a few minutes. Voice acting felt a little better than other games, but not by much. And even though the soundtrack repeated from TM2, I didn't mind, but it may annoy you if that type of stuff bothers you. Backtracking was also reduced by a good margin, but just like other HOG's there is still backtracking present. I also really enjoyed the scenery and artwork.

Achievements are easy to get and only require one playthrough.

Overall better than TM2 and a good game, so I recommend it if you want to finish the storyline and pass some time.

The storyline is interesting in this one, and the voice acting was half decent. There were more HO scenes than puzzles, and what puzzles were there weren't too difficult to figure out. The hints for the puzzles could be better though. The main drawback is the amount of backtracking in this one. There's a handy traveling system, but the backtracking is still a nuisance. Though the achievements are easy to get for the achievement hunters out there.

Overall a nice game, but there are better ones out there.

41 hours in, still plenty of content to explore, and still in love with this game. Its basically Stardew Valley but 3D, bigger and broader environment, and with a focus on crafting instead of farming, though farming is available on a smaller scale. I, unfortunately, do not have experience with the Harvest Moon series so I cannot compare it to that, but if you enjoyed Stardew Valley and are looking for another game to enjoy, get this one.

Decent game ruined by a stupid company, as usual.

This is a pretty decent game overall. I recommend getting this game on sale though, not full price. $29.99 feels a bit much, as its not very long and still has a few bugs that causes people problems (I never encountered such bugs though).

Other than that, the storyline was interesting, and did have a twist that I wasn't expecting. There is a bit of stealth, and a few puzzles, but don't get this game for the puzzles, or the stealth, as it is not a heavy focus. This is mostly a story based game with exploring, and I highly recommend doing all the side stories as they are interesting. As for horror, its not a jumpscare for anyone wondering. While the atmosphere can be "spooky" and your heart may race while trying to avoid the demons, the game is pretty tame.

Also, achievements are fairly easy to get for any achievement hunters out there.

I'm sad that this won't get a sequel, as I quite enjoyed it and I really think the setting and idea has a lot of potential. The main character was especially good.

Rating: 8/10

This was a decent HOG, probably not a top 10 favorite, but I say buy it if you enjoy these types of games as a quick escape.

The storyline was good/fine, and a bit new to me compared to a few other games I've played, and that is what made it enjoyable. I also didn't feel like it was a cliché, at least not entirely, unlike Enigmatis 1. Also, the voice acting was bleh for the most part (like most HOG's games I've encountered). The main character's voice is probably the worst, it sounds....breathless? I'm not quite sure how to explain it. A few character's weren't too bad though.

Gameplay wise, the hidden object scenes were nothing amazing (at least on normal mode), and some scenes repeat at least 2-3 times. Normally it takes me a good few minutes to find everything with the newer games, but with this game I could breeze through those scenes easily, which means experts and hardcore player's will probably find this game far too easy. Unlockable hidden objects are also easy to do and don't take much work (about 1 to 2 per scene). The puzzles were easy as well and don't take long. Basically, the game is short, so if you want a long game this might not be for you. There is also a map for teleportation, and there is quite a bit of backtracking.

The achievements are easy to get, and even if you mess up during your first play-through, a quick run through a second game will easily complete them. I missed some of the clues during my first run but gathered the ones I could still obtain, and during my second run I only needed to gather the missing ones and I got the achievement.

Overall, good game and recommend you get it for your collection when it is on sale.

I remembered to review something finally!

So HOG wise, I'd say it's an okay game overall. Definitely not the best, and definitely not remarkable. The only thing that stood out to me was being able to put clues together and make deductions to help your case (and further the storyline). I haven't encountered that in a game yet, so I'd say that was new and interesting.

The storyline was alright, felt pretty cliché to me for the majority of it though. There were also a few jumpscare moments, but not enough to actually make you afraid. And some sounds, like thumping, can be heard throughout the gameplay.

Voice acting was meh. There were moments where I expected the voices to rise, etc. due to rising emotions, but there wasn't, so it just felt odd to listen to, among several other instances.

As for the game play, the hidden object scenes are decent. There were quite a few times I had to sit and stare, then give up and consult the HO guide for that one last item, but overall the scenes were good. I wouldn't say too terribly difficult, but enough of a challenge. Most of the scenes repeat at least 3 times, so they get old quick. Also, there are only two, or three, instances where you have to complete something in order to unlock a hidden object. I'm used to having several every scene, so this was an odd experience for me, and I'd have to say I was disappointed.
As for the puzzles, there were very few of them! I was surprised by how little there was, so that was another area of disappointment. They weren't too difficult though, and I actually found some of them fun. And thankfully this game provided instructions, though they aren't the most clear sometimes.

Also, there is no teleport function, so if you get annoyed easily with backtracking I do not recommend this game, as there is quite a lot of it.

Overall, I recommend the game if you get it in a bundle or a cheap sale, but don't pay $10 for this game. It is a nice distractor for a few hours.

Early Access Review
11/28/17 Update: Unfortunately, the game has gotten worse, not better. I'd go into details, but there's no point as every other negative review has covered them extensively. I highly recommend staying away from this game and the company, unless you can catch the game extremely cheap and only intend to play on unofficial or by yourself. Stay off the official servers, because the devs are doing their best to shut them down.

----------------------------
Before I would have recommended this game to anyone who asked me about it. I'd tell them that despite insane lag, lack of optimization, bugs, and some other issues, this game was pretty fun and worth the money on sale - ignore the EA and just enjoy it. Another reason was because when I had an issue, one of the developers came to our server and our base to see what was happening. That was something I had never heard of before, and I found that impressive. When a couple wanted an Ark themed cake for their wedding, the developers let them have it done without any payments, etc., and replies to threads were uncommon but still better than any other company I had seen (eventually they stopped). All of that made me think the devs cared about their players. Finally a game where this was the case.

Now, however, I do not recommend this game. The devs recently changed the decay timers and ruined a lot of peoples game play. Dinos and buildings were gone as soon as the timers were up. Anybody who was busy that day, or the past few days, lost everything. My boyfriend and I were one of the victims, and several other people on our server as well. I feel even worse for the people who had thousands of hours, had a family or health emergency during this (someone had surgery while this was happening), or the kids who play. While the devs reverted the changes, they did not do a rollback or even have the balls to issue an apology, and for that I will not recommend this game to anyone further. As a pre-med student I simply do not have the time to just "rebuild" and get over it. I get on when I can to enjoy the game, even with the mind-numbing rates of the official servers, and now I can't even do that.

I accepted all other issues and bugs in the past because it is EA. I expected bugs and was okay with that, and I experienced bugs and, while upset, was okay with it. I knew what I was getting into. But to do something as stupid as this without a warning (they give us warnings for map changes, but not something just as serious?) and then not at least apologize or even acknowledge the issue? The devs clearly have changed. They said in their Early Access statement that "we're making this game to serve you," but so far, it seems anything but.

If you still get the game, play only in the singleplayer, unofficial, or with friends on your own server because issues like this can be fixed, and mods can change any stupid ideas the devs put through. If you love dinosaurs though and just want to pet them for a few hours (if they don't wind up looking like potatoes on your screen, which they most likely will), then get it and enjoy.
