Early Access Review
I've been playing Voyagers of Nera for just over two hours and I'm really enjoying this! The art style is beautiful and it's just enough cozy to not seem overwhelming. There are some small issues with having to jump over ledges that should be able to be stepped over (Then again, I have played some big name games with the same issue so it's second nature for me to just tap that jump key!). I really love the little spirit you have floating around after you, it's completely adorable! (Of course I am using the little stingray and living my best seafaring life.)

I've not had any issues with connectivity to the game or run into any bugs that have made my game crash. My internet isn't always the best but I've not had any issues with the world lagging. I'll update this review when I drag a couple friends in.

The building is fairly intuitive for a crafting game and I haven't run into any snags in gathering things that a little exploring couldn't fix. I love the ease of being able to snap building pieces together or being able to free build if you're feeling extra creative.

I'd love to see a more solo friendly boating mode added though I am looking forward to dragging my friends into playing this with me. It's not impossible to use the boat solo but it doesn't feel as seamless as I would prefer since you have to switch between two positions to raise/lower the sail and steer. It's a little tedious to use the boat to get around for me at the moment though I am hoping once I unlock more things there will be a smaller craft for solo travel. Either way, right now I am running and swimming a lot!

Which brings me to the swimming! This is honestly one of the better early access games I have seen with swimming involved. Being able to still 'dodge' in the water helps with spooky fish combat and I have had no issues with the diving system so far.

Combat is easy and I enjoy that. I'm a fan of more cozy games, combat isn't something I personally want to be challenging. This has just enough buttons for me to feel like I am in combat but not overwhelmed. If you are looking for an intensive battle experience this probably isn't it.

There currently is no use for food other than buffs. This adds to the cozy feel but I would like to see an option in the future to turn on a bar for hunger for a more survival feel.

The little messages left for you to read really help with the immersive feeling! I can't wait to continue playing and find all of the messages and spirits!

All in all, I fully recommend this game if you like a more laid back experience in a crafting/survival game. I'll be excitedly watching out for further updates!
