I stood through the work week as a guild clerk not knowing what to expect. It was to say the least, a very charming, and adorable, amusing work week. I admit that i was tempted by fate a FEW times to do some funny things that PROBABLY were not the best choices to make, but for the sake of avoiding any spoilers, i wont say what those were, it was an excellent time, i enjoyed the soundtrack very much and found the game length to be great, just under an hour and found myself almost wishing for an extension, to continue for another work week and see what further shenanigans and hilarity would be sent my way from those sometimes adorable, sometimes kind, sometimes insufferable adventurers. If the developer ever makes a continuation to this, or a similar styled game to this please feel free to respond to this and let me know as i would love to check that out as well!

This gets a an 8.8/10 from me for it's charm, it's art style, it's soundtrack, and laid back atmosphere.

I played this game expecting to be like "Yeah i totally gave it a try guys, i played one career mode of funny horse game haha it's OK" and never play it again...i then GOT UPSET because as i was building my legacies for Rudolf to be my first Career win, THE MASKED MARAUDER HERSELF STOLE IT AND MADE ME ROOT FOR HER VICTORY TOO! The races are actually hype as hell especially when your Trainee pulls off an upset victory FIVE RACES IN A ROW TO BECOME YOUR FIRST CAREER WIN!!!
So anyway the gameplay is actually kind of fun even though it's just clicking buttons with your mouse and hoping for the best, learning how to maximize things etc. The best parts of the game by far are the stories, races and concerts, they are cute, hype and wholesome all at once, it even has a safeguard put in place for people of certain ages to not be able to spend more than a set amount of real money as well so with a little Parental Supervision this is one of the most thoughtful Gacha?? *Correct me if wrong term pls* games out there that i'm aware of. It's horses girls, doing races, there's not even a crazy amount of jiggle physics either it's quite tame and that's a plus for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game, it's not going to be for everyone of course but i think if you're just willing to be honest with yourself and your answers this game is amazing and it will bring you a nice little hour maybe hour and a half of gameplay. I was fully prepared to be absolutely toasted by the end of it but it was pretty nice to me at the end, it gave me a very interested and fairly accurate read. I won't spoil it of course that'd ruin the fun and the experience for everyone else but just know that i absolutely love The Test Series, and i hope everyone reading this, and everyone at Randumb studios has a fantastic day, thank you for making the games that you do.

I made a cult about my girlfriend. We worship the A** that gives us the Sass, we cut of the grass, as food it will pass. They are hideous little creatures incapable of cleaning up even their own excrement. But they worship the Lamb for we are their Shepard, and we care for our followers for they are our flock, we choose one of our flock and grant him the glock, which they gleefully take as the Lamb whispers "Go now, do a crime" we see the look in their eyes, they got that ♥♥♥♥ on lock. And then we pull hilarious pranks too, just yesterday i fed Boomer The Second, not one but TWO ENTIRE BOWLS of his own poop, it was hilarious, for he never even knew until it was too late, at least he recycles his waste, though, admirable quality for the little guy, dumb as a rock though, can't trust him around scissors lest we want another incident. So anyway interested in joining our cult?

This game has seriously gone downhill and with the mass layoffs and the CEO's behavior as well...A game that i've played for nearly a decade now counting Smite 1 as well is probably going to die because...it's just not fun, It is depressing to watch one of my all time favorite games die like this with no big finish, but a sad whimpering. I truly hope i'm wrong and the game recovers, but it doesn't seem possible

I recommend it for the story, but be warned it DOES get dark, there are mentions of various forms of Assault to put it mildly, but outside of those cases that you must preside over, there's some actually interesting moral conundrums at times, do you spare a baker refusing to sell bread because he wants to make sure his family can eat with a famine going around, EVEN IF that baker might have caused families to starve. The game play is rather minimal with the only thing that seems to have any meaningful pressure behind it being the persuasion/speech mini games and the "Map of Paris" strategy board. It's largely a political intrigue kind of game, it talks of grand conspiracies, betrayals, scandals, cheats and liars, you must even become a liar at times...you must even potentially send innocents to their doom at times...all so the mobs won't send you to the axe. Your opponents will cross lines, target your character in ways that might genuinely leave you upset and wondering what they actually respect and value or have they all been forced to plod along the entire time, following the machinations of destiny? What lines won't they cross to get their way? It's very gossip heavy, and my ONLY complaint is that...i wish we had the opportunity to have this game as like a Detroit Becomes Human or The Wolf Among Us style game. This would be AMAZING if it was allowed to blend the rather limited game play it has with those kinds of games and visceral story telling. I'm saving the last part of my review for once i finish the game as some say things about the game that if i can confirm...would impact my feelings about the game for sure.

I love this game, so i have biased glasses on it because of how much i love it. That being said this game is fantastic for anyone who likes 4X strategy games, it can be a bit overwhelming to try and learn it however and to be blunt the tutorial can be a little unhelpful at times. But once you do learn the game you see that it's not really HARD, it's just a little complex. You have to balance a lot of things in this game, and i admit that can be a headache and a half when you're first starting out. But there's plenty of ways to deal with these issues. If you think you want the game get it on sale, as this game's one major issue is that the developers are 100% greedy with their prices, particularly with some of the DLC. i'd wait till there is at least a 25% discount to pick up this game

The review has changed so much over the years...wait till a 60% or higher sale, on ALL the DLC as well otherwise it's no longer worth it IMO due to the performance hit in the mid to late game, the many changes that have been made to the vanilla experience *Modded is the only way i play now* Seriously i tried it once and immediately the game felt slower, more predictable, upon meeting the first two nations i pretty much knew exactly how i should proceed with my game, it became more of a waiting simulator to steam roll the galaxy than a somewhat interesting dynamic 4X sandbox game. Truly the DLC and Mods keep this game afloat, but the DLC is often 15$ or more for sometimes just two quest lines and some artifacts or PLANETARY RINGS OOOH~~ It's a shame because if the DLC wasn't so highly priced all the time on all their games i'd say it's worth it, sadly not so much anymore.

Public lobbies are literally 90% garbage piles stuff like "You didn't do blank task! I have medbay scan! You're throwing if you vote me!" or even more commonly people will say one color and half the lobby will just vote for whoever said a color first within 5 seconds. It's much much better to try and play Hide-N-Seek publicly as there's a lot less room for annoyance IMO.

Aside from public lobbies the game is FANTASTIC if you have anonymous votes on and visual tasks off prepare for a wonderful experience of deception and intrigue that is honestly very hard to emulate. The closest thing to this game is "Deceit" and unfortunately that game has FAR more lame experiences that can happen that are totally out of your control, than can probably ever happen in a moderated lobby with friends

If possible I'd like to see the devs add in some more objectives such as figuring out the cause of the haunting, and if it's more or less malicious in nature, make the ghosts feel just a hair bit more unique when you come across them, because at one point we had all the evidence point towards a poltergeist and it was just CONSTANTLY throwing things around in a kitchen, and it turned out to be something else instead i forget what exactly it was, but we were confused because i think we needed it to write or to having freezing temperatures and we NEVER got either of those...which made absolutely no sense to us. And to add in some more things with the spirit box i LOVE the spirit box so much but i wish there was a wider array of things the ghosts would respond to, like it would be cool if you could walk in to the room sit down and immediately choose a passive route or an aggressive route the aggressive route being "Show me your presence" and the passive route being "We just want to talk" those lines of questions would be awesome and more ghosts of course, another neat idea would be a mimic ghost, my idea for this would be a super aggressive but lone hunter ghost, so you stay together to be more safe, but if you're alone it will target the activity around the person who is alone, thus confusing the hunters as to where it actually is and adding in the suspense of being alone in a house that much more because you KNOW if it's a mimic or another ghost that wants to be alone, it'll definitely be more comfortable attacking you while separated, of course keeping the namesake of the mimic by allowing it to give any piece of evidence however the evidence that it does give this way is very rare, as an example let it interact with the spirit box, to say one or two things, but after that have it cut all response to the spirit box for a time this will force the player to stay ALONE in a dark room with a highly aggressive ghost, another cool thing to experiment with is the ghosts turning things in your hands off and upping the frequency of this if it's a poltergeist as they manipulate objects a LOT, and being able to leave fingerprints ON equipment as well, so if you interact with the spirit box and it gets shut off on you, you can scan it with a UV and see if there's a finger print on it, same with a flashlight, if possible have the ghosts slam the ghost writing journal in your hands. I absolutely love this game and if the devs would let me i would LOVE to be someone you can bounce idea's back and forth off of, not only for different kinds of ghosts but different actions the ghosts can take that would really frighten or unsettle players. Imagine if you will someone flashlight being turned off three times in the span of a minute or two how creepy that would be, especially with the flickering lights mechanic as well. As for my actual review of the game it's absolutely wonderful and i love it to death, it's SO MUCH FUN with friends, however for the people who can't get friends to play maybe consider adding in smaller houses with more places to hide in? Like an apartment complex has a haunted room maybe and you have two "rooms" to investigate that are open to you that each have 3 small rooms inside and a bathroom? Something to think about for sure. This is just awful, it tries to be a fourth wall breaking reality bending type of game and it just fails super hard at it...it has some of the CHEAPEST jump scares i've ever seen in a game you pay money for, that honestly weren't even frightening, it's main gimmick is distorted text, red text, odd questions that just get weird rather than spooky, and some mildly annoying ambient tracks that just serve to make you want to quit, not out of being scared but because there's no sound setting in the game to turn them down, this is by design so you can get jump scared easier with a loud noise and a fairly generic mangled corpse pop up. Not worth any money at all, it barely even got me to twitch when the jump scare happened and it pointed itself out super badly...it just misses the mark.
