Do not buy as is, wait until a sale w/ DLC releases in 2 years from now

Lacking QoL and base game mechanics far beyond that of base V or VI.

Visual bugs everywhere, unfinished ui, lack of game customization (no disabling of victory types, no large maps, limited amount of AI in singleplayer, etc) and other things that you would expect to be in the 7th iteration of the series.
ESPECIALLY when you're forced to only play what feels like should have been a game mode rather than the standard game. The AI is also atrocious and completely ruins the fun as it is so easy to abuse that I'm pretty sure you could turn your monitor off and guide yourself to a victory.

Not to mention if you have any plans on using external software to mess around and test game mechanics out for the fun of it, forget it. The game will close and send you to 2K's Code of Conduct page for even trying to do so in SINGLEPLAYER.

The game all around doesn't just feel unfinished. It IS UNFINISHED.

The game can be and is fun if you're just playing it for what it is, but you're better off going back to play V or VI w/ mods until a combination of DLC and mods actually make the game play like a Civ game.
