I didn't know what to expect going into this game. I bought it because I grew up reading the Midnight Suns comic books, and I wanted to see what they did to them in a game. I am blown away by how addictive, fun, and deep the story to this game is. Definitely worth it to buy at full price, and definitely worth it when it comes to story. Great game.

This game is so fun and addicting. So much that I end up playing it while work is slow. For some reason my games like to spawn happy little neighborhoods, and I'm so pleased with how orderly it is. Give it a try, you're sure to love it.

I never got into the early AC games, as they weren't my style. I picked this one up AFTER playing Odyssey and I'm finding I love this one just as much!

I try to be productive when I criticize a game, so here I go. I love the build up and the overarching story of Pathfinder Kingmaker, BUT...

The bugs in this game are frustrating to the point that it breaks major quest points and often ends your game through no fault of your own. Even using the option where the game won't end if your kingdom fails, there are places that require reloading in hopes that the area to advance the chapter shows up.

And I might get scalded for my next point, but it's how I play single player. I play on casual for the first few playthroughs to learn the mechanics of a new game. Even on the lowest difficulty settings, there are places in the game that are entirely unforgiving. The RNG is the only thing that determines if you can progress or not.

I have made it to the last chapter of the game, only to be confronted with impassable boss fights (remember, I'm on easy!) and the inability to rest anymore due to weight restrictions on Rations. I feel like at this point I've wasted so much time trying to see how this story ends (I love the story!) only to hit a brick wall where the difficulty curve ramped up despite being on easy, or another one of the game breaking bugs.

I also find the quests don't really give you any information outside the most basic of things, or much direction. Even if you take notes on every conversation, you'll be lucky to stumble across some of the side quest locations if they even pop up when you are exploring.

There are three things this game needs at this point outside of th bug fixes, in my opinion, Make easy/story mode actually easy, give more information in journal/quest descriptions that help you reference what you did and what you'll need to do next, and maybe decrease the weight of rations (or allow ration scavenging in dungeons).

Despite this criticism, I am going to recommend the game because it is a beautiful and engrossing RPG with an amazing story. I hope someday I'll be able to see the end of that story, but as th game stands right now, I won't be able to get there.

I loved the first game, and I actually really enjoy some of the changes in this one. However, I feel at this time the game has some serious balancing issues when it comes to officers coming in drunk, not showing up for work, etc. as well as some instructional guidance that is not provided in the tutorials. (What do certain symbols mean? Do the colors of informants mean anything about their information?)

Money also feels extremely difficult to get without sacrificing items that are needed for other things.

I want to love this game, but right now, I am going to have to put it down and hope that there are some updates down the road.

I waited a while to get this game. I was worried after reading the reviews that I would be frustrated and disappointed.

Steam Sale to the rescue.

This Game IS SO MUCH FUN!

Yes it has its problems. Like the game glitching out during a random event here and there, and sometimes your colonists can be so sloooow. BUT even with its problems, I can't help but have fallen in love with this game. Your colonists are quirky, the technology is deep but not too deep to get frustrating, and it's fun to see how each colony will be different. Will you build a barracks on startup or will you wait? A church or not and let the dark forces run amuck.

I love the random events (reminds me slightly of RimWorld which I also love, but feels much smaller in scale), though at first I thought they were game destroying moments and got a little frustrated. Then I realized I could come back from them, and it made it all the more fun to figure out how best to deal with the events and what techs and buildings you needed to make survivability easier!

I do hope the game gets updated for bug fixes and maybe a few streamlined features (Or at least a tutorial that gives you more information on how to build certain things/research. Maybe an advanced tutorial.) As it sits, this is a fun little game and definitely worth the discounted price. And if I had know how much I would have loved it I probably would have paid the price in full.

I loved the campaign mode on this game. It was challenging and interesting, even with some of the bugs in the game.

It has similarities to Banished, yes, though Banished doesn't have a campaign mode which is why I picked this up!

Unfortunately, until the makers of the game actually work on fixing the bugs that appeared after the last patch, the Sandbox mode is completely unplayable. After one turn through seasons, everything starts speeding up, seasons cycle so fast and all your villagers grow old and die.

I cannot recommend this game until it has been fixed, and considering it has been months since this issue has been brought to the developers, I don't think we'll be seeing that happen anytime soon.

I really enjoyed this game. It was quick to beat though, and I am already wishing there were more campaign missions available because I really enjoyed the different challenges of each one. I played through both the base game and the DLC since purchasing a couple of days ago.

It has a nice balance of puzzle management elements, and city building for each scenario. It was super fun trying to figure out the best balance of things and also which starting opportunity to pick for each.

Again, my only lament is there are not enough scenarios to play through even with the DLC. I thoroughly enjoyed this not too brain exhausting little game, and will reply it again in the future.

This game is ridiculously addictive and fun without being attention intensive. I basically have it running while I work, and occasionally tab over to see how much money I've made so I can spend it on making more money.

Oh and you sacrfice angels for profit.

A+ game
