If you've never played Persona, you'll probably think this game is amazing.
If you've ever played one, still the same.
I've played them since the PS2 days and the similarity in game design is driving me nuts.

It's my own fault for expecting something else from this game, but I didn't expect what I played.

Don't get me wrong, the style of the game is impeccable, some of the OST is amazing, the ideas they tried to use are great, but overall execution just fell flat for me. I could write more, but just by typing this much already, I'm exhausted. So I'll leave it at that.

Better than exoected.
Ran very well on my system (GTX2070, Ryzen 3600) with mid settings, still looked REALLY REALLY good.

Combat is crisp, art direction is different but superb, overall great experience.

Didn't encounter any crashes, running on 2070 RTX, AMD CPU.

Game so far runs great, borderless at 1080p constant 120FPS.

Just putting this out there cause there's so many negatives reviews.

Will update this once I've played more.

___

Finished the main story.

Only had one crash, other than that this game ran perfect till the end.

AMAZING!! Action JRPG

Never played anything similar in regards to combat feel.

Is it the hardest? No. Is it the most complex? No. Does it feel the best? Absolutely yes.

Every character I've played feels so satisfying to play, it's incredible. Whoever did the VFX and SFX of this game is a genius.

So if you enjoy anime action games with sick boss fights, you can't skip this game at all.

Great Game,

at least for me barely any crashes besides one early in the game.

Do yourself a favour if you enjoyed Hades or like 3rd person shooters in general.

Crisp controls, 60fps high paced gameplay

Really good game. They still offer DLC for free, which are now above 10 characters, a lot of OST and more, still all for free.

In the current FGC market, this is one of the most well priced products around, and people still get annoyed. This just proofs, some people deserve less.

If you like anime fighters, this is a good choice right now and offers rollback netcode as well.

What to say about this game. I discovered this game during the steam event to try out demos by chance.

Ever since then I was intrigued by this title and bought it day one. So far i've played more than 30 hours and still can't stop playing it.

This whole game is such an insane amount of effort being put into one single game, I can't wrap my head around it.

If you enjoy 2D side scrollers with a lot of intricate subsystem, sick ass bossfights, really nice looking sprites, do yourself a favour and get this game.

It can be janky at times, but that's part of its charm.

EDIT:

I just finished the game. It is by far the best game I've played all year, do yourself a favour and play this game if you like JRPGs with super deep character builds.

Great game, beat the last boss yesterday. Would recommendly dearly to everyone who enjoys roguelikeish games.

Pros:
- Varying options to approach your runs with.
- Difficulty ( on the harder side )
- Visual style is great, fits perfectly
- Amazing OST, probably the best part about the game for me next to gameplay

Cons:
- Due to its difficulty, you have only few viable options available in the endgame.
- Classes should be changed to have even powerevel.

As you can see, the only downsides are related to balance, which can be easily changed in the future.

Really good turn based RPG with great pixel art. The setting is amazing, with the procedural part of the game woven into the lore and storytelling. There's tons of stuff to unlock, either in your specific playthrough or permanently for the longlasting progression.

Combat, as said before, is entirely turn based. If you don't enjoy the more action heavy games these days, this one is for you. You're able to completly plan your turns, the information on screen is incredible, you can check multiple values at each given time of the turn. So if that's your thing, please consider buying this game.

Huge, huge thumbsup on my end.

Great spinoff title of a really well developed Fighting Game series.
While this game might simplify a lot of things, it still manages to keep up the high-paced anime-style fighting interesting and fun.
Reducing the execution doesn't hurt the competitive that much in my opinion.

Port also runs well on my system, so this might be the case for you as well.
