Best Dragon Ball game to date.

A few flaws I encounter on this version of the game

I hope there is a fix to the constant bugs whenever I use an attack move, I will just bounce over or slide across my opponent and the attack move and ki is just wasted. Somehow, the attack landing will be so inconsistent that I felt that every special move will land only 50% of the time.

Another thing about the campaign (I only have played through Goku's story mode at the time of this review), the difficulty of each bossfights are inconsistent as well. Notably, Great Ape Vegeta's level, Goku Black arc, and Jiren's fight. The first two bossfights mentioned here are more difficult than the fights previously as they spam combos and not allowing me to block or side step away from it. While the Jiren fight, from the start till the end it felt easy as the bot/cpu/boss are just wondering and not engaging the fight. And there is only 2 difficulty that is not well defined, its either Default or Lower difficulty, I only played on the Default.

Though you can train and learn the basics and the buttons on the controllers (using classic preset), its kind of difficult to get through those 3 levels mentioned because of how inconsistent the A.I. is when fighting.

Despite the negatives I have on my first playthrough, I can see myself playing this ahead in the future on the other campaigns and the multiplayer which is not out yet for me here.

Great Dragon Ball game overall!

There is no Asia Server to play on, every Expanded connected matches I've played will have pings ranging above 200ms. Not very fun when lagging every few seconds. I did try Local server matches but never had one cos the waiting time is forever, as if there are no local servers to play on.

Playing this on my Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16GB, my overall gameplay was running well around 90 to 150+ fps. Its an ok experience, though the only thing I wished Nvidia did with this game is to have Video Settings adjustments. I would want to test out the game with different presets like upscaling, performance/balanced/quality presets, anti-aliasing, etc, so that I can compare fps and picture quality, etc. But the game is already using DLSS 3.5 for the default.

Afterall, Portal 1 is from a version of Source Engine that is after HL2 and old. So whatever the devs did for this game to have an RTX mode on is already impressive enough.

I highly recommend playing this game if you have at least a RTX 4060 and above, & an AMD/Intel processor with more than 6 cores at least to play this game for a playable 60 fps. DO SOME RESEARCH ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS GAME ON ANY BUILDS ONLINE.

Overall gameplay is the same as the base Portal 1 game, nice improvement of texture quality from the first game, lighting can be bright on some areas but not too blinding, nice little qr code easter eggs on Rattman's hideouts with an in-game model renders of the RTX 4090s lying around.

Very fun game. Need that pancake though
