Bringing the best of DL2 to the core elements of DL1, The Beast serves up essentially a refined version of "more of the same". That said, it's a fun fast paced romp that kept me moving through the story and had just enough things hidden to always make me go a step further (Cuipaga I am looking at you my precious). The grappling hook is still a wasted opportunity too tied to realism in a fantasy world, but it's forgivable. All in all I had a good time playing it with my son, and I knew what I was getting into from the start. If melee zombie combat is your thing, this is really one of if not the only game intown.

An absolute blast, with a new spin but a familiar feel. Simple to pick up, vast complexity in build and play styles. No hand holding, no mass exposition, just you, your friends, and bullets flying. Just BUY it.

Tremendous rouge like, with great characters and an evolving playstyle. Each new character brings something different, and finding the synergies between characters for co-op is a blast. It has that great "just one more round" feel to it, and is worth a spot in your catalog if you like these kinds of games.

Really fun ride, good story, interesting aesthetic. The gameplay hook DOES get repetitive, but it moves quick and levels come at you fast.

Killer game with rock solid combat. Truly a masterpiece.

Been a real fun ride so far. Familiar survival mechanics in a simple, yet lush and beautiful world. Every session I play has me wanting to push just a little farther into the wilderness. If you're a fan of the genre, this one definitely sits near the top for me.

Where to start.....well, first check my playtime. Easily one of the best games I own. A simple premise, delivered well, with mechanics that are easy to understand but take time to master. If you like the genre, this belongs in your collection.
